Seems like his specialty on D is blocking shots and on O it is the soft hook...sounds like a prototypical Gtown bigman ;D

Hibbert Redux - some coach who can see past his nose and is willing to take a chance may get a real winner. The guy is 7'1 and can run!

Anyone know who's making offers or if we're interested?

Izzy is an awesome kid and a hard worker. I know Mason is interested. I haven't noticed any G'town coaches at any of the games (but I haven't attended every game).

Scouting report reminds me a little of Mo Sutton from Largo a few years back, now at Villanova. Sutton was tracking as a mid-major recruit for most of his time in high school but late in the game Nova got desperate for some size and took a flier on him. Same could happen to Freeman depending on how some of the local high majors do with early departure, transfer, other late recruits, etc. But more likely he's probably a mid-major.
As of last summer Gibbons mentioned him with Ohio, Texas, UMass and VA Tech, with Tech being Freeman's favorite at the time. Texas won't offer but seeing him at any of the other 3 wouldn't shock me. Seems like he might be a good fit at an A-10 or CAA school.

The school is actually named Osbourn. I think he's still growing, he is a 4 year player, and he will definitely help a D-1 school.

Can't we use guys like this? 7'1 is no joke - esp if he can run and block shots.

Why would we want a kid who plays for the Department of Motor Vehicles?
