...is coming back, according to Patrick Stevens' blog (http://d1scourse.typepad.com/). Will be interesting to see if they (1) cover Georgetown and if (2) Barker returns. I'd put my money on yes and no, respectively, but perhaps someone can dig up some additional info.

I don't know anything about their sports section, but the rest of the paper is one of the best in the Nation! It's far better than the Washington Post or New York Times.
We used to always get their week in review issue down here in Florida.

What's Barker up to? Anyone know? Barker is working in educational software in Philadelphia. He will be making an appearance at the Big East.

I can confirm that Barker will not be making a comeback of any sort in conjunction with the Times sports section; his gain in really liking his new job in Philly is the Faithful's continuing loss . . . He will be at Big East for Thursday games, and thereafter if Hoyas provide all of us a reason to stay.

Nah, it's just one of the few papers that doesn't have an obvious agenda to promote the political left. Their editorials are pretty evenly balanced with thoe from the right and the left. In our paper -- and most under the New York Times umbrella -- the liberal slant is just absurdly obvious. And we'll get a half-dozen editorials from left-wing thinkers for each one that we get from the likes of George Will. It is nice to see some alternative views every now and then.
