I had seen a thread on the tournament before... But what is the procedure for getting tickets? Are packages only available through Anthony Travel? Will tickets be sold alone (or do you have to get the hotel as well)? I saw packages offered through Oahu Travel -- I guess I could buy from them, but I would like to wait and see what GU comes out with... Any idea on when more info will be available? Thanks in advance for any insight or information. www.guhoyas.com/tickets/mauiinvitational.html

Yes, I've done that... However, as there are packages being offered by other people (like Oahu Travel), I was more interested to know if anyone was aware of when GU (or Anthony Travel) would send out their details? And whether one could purchase tickets alone? (I would like to get a head start on planning...)

I wouldn't buy a travel package if I could help it. Those things are usually rip-offs.

just get on the Maui invitational mailing list. The tickets normally go on sale in august on the web. I've been there several times, all tickets are general admission, just get in line for each session, there are four lines, one for each team in that sesson. The school should get tickets for their sessions only, but it is easier just to buy the all session ticket package. Knowing Georgetown, their tickets will go to Anthony Travel as usual.

We also get one or maybe two games between 11/7 and 11/17 against "mainland" teams - when will we know who that is? Apparently home game(s).

Hello. I'm trying to figure out whether this is a trip that I can afford. I've signed up for the newsletter, but I'm wondering how much a ticket to the tournament costs. An estimate would be very helpful. Thanks.

Currently the only way you can purchase game tickets through the school is by buying the land travel package, which is between $1899 and $3500 pp, not including airfare or food (other than the opening banquet). This is a requirement of the Maui Invitational organizers, not the school. Check the GUHoyas link above in this thread for exact pricing. It ain't cheap (for instance, it would cost me around $15K for my family of 5 when you factor in airfare from Boston).
There is a waiting list, with priority based on current year athletics donation amount, for game only tickets which may or may not even be available. From the above link: "Georgetown Athletics may have access to an extremely limited number of game tickets not linked to travel packages. If you are interested in being placed on a wait list for these tickets, please email hoyatickets@georgetown.edu. The wait list will be prioritized based on current-year athletics donation level. Tickets are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed at this time."
I have not seen game only tickets anywhere else, but feel free to post here if you run across offers.
I suspect I will be watching on my wide screen at home.

Should be nice to fly under the radar - pick teams off and move our way up, earn some respect from the "experts"

Let the "Fly Under The Radar" slap fight commence!! RE-commence!! ;D

There is a 90 pct chance I will be in Maui on Mon-Tues before T-Giving. I better be able to scalp or buy individual tickets without tihs package nonsense. Agreed. Is there a market on stub hub for the Maui invitational?
