BEPs were the only reason my daughters watched the game -- they weren't thrilled but I don't think they thought it was terrible (although they did have a hoot over the dancers with the TVs on their heads).
Some of it reminded me of the intentionally bad musical numbers in "The Producers." But, to be fair, hip-hop or quasi hip-hop acts can be very hit or miss on stage anyway (Slash might have limited the damage had he been on for more than five minutes). The venue and production didn't help -- the four of them looked like ants in that stadium, and the set was too long.
