Sponsored by autotune with the Black Eyed Peas. An "unexpected" nipple flash couldn't have made that entertaining. The only decent part was Slash and Fergie messed that up too. She's beyond awful. Remember like 15 years ago when the Black Eyed Peas were actually pretty good? Man, that's a long time ago.

Behind the Front was a solid album. Not great. But good. Now they're just horrific.

Of course, that was pre-Fergie days. I miss those days.

Meh, didn't think it was the worst.
RE Commercials: was anyone else extremely let down by Focus Rally:America? I was hoping it would be a cross-country race or something

During the show, my 10 year old shook her head and said "The Black Eyed Peas are over."
Not quite as embarrassing as forgetting the words to the National Anthem.

Springsteen was the worst ever. But, he's as horrible as it gets so his show being terrible was a foregone conclusion. But, he failed to meet my incredibly low expectations and actually made me feel sorry for him.

It may have been the worst halftime show ever, but it was nowhere near as bad as the National Anthem performance.
Best versions of the National Anthem:
Best Super Bowl performance (beating out Whitney Houston):
Best live version ever (beating out Hendrix):
Best cover ever:
If you don't think you can get totally amped from listening to the National Anthem, listen to that last version. We HAVE to use that over the PA when Cuse comes to the Phone Booth.

DFW is right. Up with People was abominable. Now I don't know anything about BEP (other than seeing pictures of Fergie everywhere), but I thought the dancers with boxes over their heads was so ridiculous that it was hilarious. I understand, though, that that is apparently part of BEP's shtick, so I guess it was only a surprise to we geezers who aren't familiar with BEP.

the pre-game show was the worst. they put it on 4 hours early and the best actual football talk was between BOR and obama. it's a disgrace that the superbowl pregame has turned into a glorified grammy's show and one failed attempt at comedy after another. maria menounos has officially hit the wall.

Wasn't it the Declaration of Independence?* Isn't that the document that allowed us to play our brand of football and not the British version? In that case, yes, I'm all for it. (* As a rule I do not watch pre-game shows. I flip to them occasionally. Consequently, I may have missed a similar reading of the Constitution that may have taken place at a different time). (Also, let me offer a pre-emptive "lighten up, soccer fans." I'm one of you as well. It's just a joke. But if I had to choose between the two....well, no contest.)
