sometimes we as fans often forget that kids have 4 years to develop in college basketball.
it feels great to see Henry finally coming into his own and finding his niche with the team this year.
happy for the guy. hoping to see further growth and development from him this year and next.

The thing that most impressed me was his hands.
Held on to the ball when getting swarmed by defenders at the top of the post. Caught some tough passes. Really a complete change from the past 2 years when he was simply a turnover machine.

Henry is stronger, more confident, seems to have become more coordinated - not a drop off at all when he comes in, which none of us could have predicted back in October. Definitely Most Improved Hoya.

Great sign tat JT III stck with him so much today. He will gainconfidence from tht and would have played more in the second half but for JV's improved play. With Henry we are a very different defensive team--he has the height and length to change shots and the quickness to correct for mistakes and get back into position.

He seems to do so much better when he's not overthinking things.
JUST PLAY, BIG HANK!!!

This was a good one for Henry. He had a number of plays where I thought he was going to turn it over, but he hung in there on pretty much all of them and had some great moments.

Absolutely agree. Especially with the big men it seems. Your hard work is paying off Henry. Keep it up!

That block with his forearm that went to mid-court was nice!!!!! Loved it! He's learned to reign in his aggressiveness a bit and he's picking his spots well. It's paying dividends. Much respect to Henry for biding his time and putting in his work such that he's seeing solid PT this year. I only hope that he continues to improve such that he gets at least as much in the way of compliments as he did bashing by those of us on the board that got tired of waiting for him to come around. My favorite part of watching our Hoyas since JT3 took over has been watching guys develop. Henry has become one of those guys. Here's to hoping that this is only the beginning!

His first half play was key to Saturday's win. Go Big Hank!

He also shows better court vision than I think he gets credit for. Every game, he makes a few really nice passes.

I would suggest everyone remember this when it comes to the inevitable overexpectations that comes with next years recruits. It will take those bigs awhile too.

The Nova game was a real show for him down low. His presence was felt and hopefully will be tonight against LU.

If Henry puts in the work with the weights over the summer as Vaughn did last Summer, he will be what we all envisioned him to be when he first got to the hill top. He is weak in the lower half of his body, so he can't be rooted out by heavier centers and forwards. Once he is able to hold his position on defense and boxing out watch out. He already has shown the passing skills on offense and he is regaining confidence in his jump shot. He just needs to develop that little jump hook Vaughn has. That too will be aided by the ability to hold his position when shooting.

That block with his forearm that went to mid-court was nice!!!!! And by next year Henry will learn that while it was impressive, we would have had a chance at coming up with the ball if he had blocked it without hammering it so far.

I would suggest everyone remember this when it comes to the inevitable overexpectations that comes with next years recruits. It will take those bigs awhile too. Not gonna happen. As fans, we are obligated to have unreasonable expectations and then get irrationally angry when they're not met, followed by irrationally elated when things improve. It's all in the manual you should have received when you signed up for this board.

I thought I counted 3 assists for Henry last night. (3pter by Freeman, basket by Wright and one other can't remember player)Anyone else see this or maybe one pass led to 2 freethrows. Have to be impressed with Henry's anticipation of the cut to the basket by his teammates. He does not seen to have to think about it as much as Vaughn does. Would like to see the pass from big man to Wright streaking to basket with 2 bigs under basket shelved for rest of BE schedule. That worked well in OOC but has not been there in BE play.

Henry needs to develop his offensive moves for next season, will make his passing game even stronger if the opponent has to stick to him. He has a good feel for the offense, can be a force next year.
