CW just denied he was talking about Warren. Didn't even know who we were talking about which isn't a surprise considering that he's probably way too busy to follow Gtown recruiting. And if he were talking about Warren, he probably would not have referred to him as a "college boy".

If it's not about Georgetown or Warren's decision, no reason to delete it and pretty easy to explain in a follow up. Everyone has their moments and wish Chris well in his future and he'll love Georgetown a lot more when he's done playing and interviewing for jobs with a Georgetown degree.

We're all pouncing on a guy based on what's a very ambiguous post. Perhaps he was talking about some nephew that decided to go to college. A kid he mentored. Or yes, perhaps he was talking about TJ. But people on this board are ridiculous. Yeah, we're the ridiculous ones. I'm sure you're right....chris has a nephew who got into both institutions and chose nc state over Georgetown. What's ridiculous is if you went to Georgetown and didn't learn to read. No where did CW mention NC State or Georgetown. He talked about "college boy" that made the right choice. As for why he deleted the tweet, again, who knows? Seems to me that people on this board misinterpreting it when they had no idea what he was talking about might be a pretty good reason. If CW says that he wasn't talking about TJ, and there's nothing specific in his tweet about TJ, then I'll just assume that he has a life outside of just basketball and Georgetown. On edit: It's probably a pretty good example of why twitter and other public forums are just bad places to share thoughts if you're even remotely a public figure. People take whatever happens to be on their minds and assume you must be concerned about the same thing. And then they expect you to explain to them what you really meant because it's clearly CW's responsibility to clarify random strangers' misunderstandings.

^^^^ This. Some of the conclusions drawn by posters based on scant information is incredible, as in ridiculous.

Everyone has their moments and wish Chris well in his future and he'll love Georgetown a lot more when he's done playing and interviewing for jobs with a Georgetown degree. Except all of his other tweets relating to Georgetown are about how much he currently loves Georgetown. And all he does on twitter is talk to former and current Georgetown players. In fact today he told Jabril to "do ur thing this year. alotta ppl fakin on us man". And his current background picture of himself in a Georgtown Uniform. Doesn't exactly sound like the kind of guy who is actively cheering against the program on the recruiting front. I also thinks it's more likely that a bunch of random strangers misinterpreted a tweet, than a guy who does all of that stuff is and is half way across the world secretly hates is former team but is still actively following their recruiting and hoping they lose recruits so he can comment on it on twitter and then delete it five minutes later(btw, who actually saw the tweet on his page and not just on here). But hey, maybe Chris Wright is an evil genius. He probably came to Georgetown just to sabotage them for his four years and insure no NCAA victories and has secretly been an NCState fan all this time.

Somebody tweeted him about it today and he said, basically, he didn't know what they were talking about and didn't seem like he knew who TJ Warren was. Hope that puts some peoples minds at ease. I see why people think it's a bit coincidental and "suspicious", but regardless, he's saying it was unrelated. Also, it'd be rather uncharacteristic, as he's always been very vocally pro-Georgetown on his twitter. Even today he's been tweeting some of the freshman and telling them to "represent" and referring to the Hoyas as "us". He's also smart enough to know that a lot of his followers are Hoya fans, so I think he'd avoid saying something to offend that contingent.
Overall, a non-issue for me. Probably time to let this thread sink and start bumping threads for recruits we have a shot at.

The irony is that last year we played nc state and beat them pretty easily. Is chris suggesting that hand he gone to nc state things would have turned out differently for him and nc state? I can't imagine that. Chris would have been going to a NCSt team that was just as if not more loaded that our GU team. The recruiting class would have been loaded with Chris, JJ Hickson, and Tracy Smith. I don't know how it would have turned out for Chris had he went to State but you can't base the outcome off of our senior laden team crushing a bunch of highly touted freshmen.......... Are you suggesting that Chris would have faired better at NC State? Sorry, but Chris played on loaded Georgetown teams with the likes of Roy Hibbert as a freshman, Dajuan Summers, Greg Monroe, Austin Freeman and others and that yielded nothing. [/quote] No. Just stating that at the time he would have probably been a starter on a very good basketball. A team that was on the upswing. NCSt would have had the big Mc? at 5, the lefty at 4(don't remeber his name), JJ at 3, Courtney Fells at 2, and Chris at the 1. The bench was deep also. GTown had Roy, Pat, DaJuan, Austin, and Jon when he came in. Plus a deep bench. Gtown was better but not by as much as you would like to think. Plus Chris would have started from day one at NCSt.............

But Georgetown had a much better coach. Georgetown has been much more successful than NC state over Chris' Career. They were not even close to each other.

probably shouldnt rehash this but thought it would be worth mentioning Chris Wright's tweets to counter the argument that is anything but proud of his time as a Hoya. He is currently staying up till 2-3 am to watch "His Hoyas" cant wait to get back to D.C. to practice with "His Hoyas". saying Markell is amazing talent. non stop tweets about his love for Gtown.
