Unless JV makes a move almost the second he catches the ball, its wise for him to pass it back out. Hey Freeman is on fire, let's make sure that he doesn't take a shot until 10 minutes left in the game. Point of the half buddy

Oh - that's how you get a call against SHU.

It then becomes an issue of 3 being too stubborn to adapt his system to the team's personnel. This is the same logic Jim O'Brien used to keep Roy nailed to the bench in Indy for the longest time. FREE! So you think JTIII should change his system to help a project freshman who can do little more than dunk at the moment? Seriously? I'd much prefer he practice for a year so that simple passes aren't an ordeal, so he can contribute his sophomore year... No I'd prefer 3 adjust his system because team after team in the Big East have figured it out and have made us a balls-less team if our shot isn't falling during games. I'd prefer he adjust the system because its been predicated on having players whose demeanor runs counter to the aggressiveness they need when they do get those eventual short shots. I'd prefer he adjust the system because its predicated on players who demeanor makes them insipid defenders down low and out on the perimeter and has made our defense an abomination to watch. I'd prefer he adjust the system because it rewards a very small set of skill sets on offense often in expense of a much larger and more valuable skill set on offense and defense. It's absurd that people don't see the irony in clamoring for multiple looks on defense and then being obstinate about not changing the offense one bit. Maybe you can argue that Moses should correct that one skill on offense. That absolutely does not excuse giving Benimon such time. Then again, this is a coach that refuses to play Sanford and is Esherick-esque coming out of timeouts. (What do you know - Sims and Lubick out of the timeout). And you can note my posting history. I've been a strong defender of the princeton O and of JT3 my entire time on the board. I'm still pollyanish on this team because I can argue to myself that WVU just beat Purdue and one basket away from beating the Johnnies away isn't bad. But if fans can't see something wrong they're being willfully ignorant.

Sloppy turnovers and poor transition D are a recipe for disaster...

Again, do not take Lubick off the floor unless he passes out.

Nate has the drop pass to the cutter in the lane down... although not surprisingly it works much better when the floor is spread.

After the break, GU gets the ball. Lets see what JT3 brings? I'm guessing SHU will press.

Lubick's progression has been steady this year. He seems more comfortable each game.

Sub Benimon in for Lubick. Discuss. That might be funny if they eventually win the game. That is very much in doubt so I can't really have a good laugh about it even though I desperately want to.
