Guru:
How in the EXPLETIVE can I be a "bandwagon" fan in regards to Miami football or Georgetown basketball? Yeah--it's really seen as being a "frontrunner" to pull for programs whose glory days were in the 1980's and have had some moments sprinkled in between. Tell you what--if it was 1980's again--someone would be getting punched in the face if Ben Hansbrough did what he did the other night, 90% of this roster wouldn't even have been recruited by Georgetown, and defensive intensity/production or lack of it would be addressed by showing guys the friggin bench.
As for the "juice box" reference--it applies in the "nice" way of today's world. I expressed a far different view earlier--but it was deleted and was told I couldn't talk with language/references I preferred--so I altered it for you nice/fine people. As far as I'm concerned--Jason Clark can sit his ass on the bench all damn year until he decides that both ends of the court matter. While we're at it--how about working on making a simple pass without overspin, and working on ball handling--or having the team focus on some basic inbounds plays where they don't lose 3 possessions per game because of a lack of timing and design. For every easy hoop the Hoyas get-they have careless turnover.
If we're going to go "old school"--everyone is going to be put on blast--people should be getting punched and fighting at practice, and every opponent should get the living snot kicked out of them--so win/lose they know they've been in a war during a game. But that's NOT how today's game/society does things--so hugs all around brother Guru-and I'll save you trouble of another "outdated" reference---so you can go back to your shake weight, while wearing a Hoya snuggy, and tweeting about game with the Hoya "Nice" fans. Yay for for the guys trying their best--it's so NEAT!

You mean Lottery Hopson? You make me laugh. And yes I have played sports competitively and still do. Love it how you attack and don't know. Again, you make me laugh. BTW, I'm not attacking Daytona's post. He was once regarded at a lottery pick, and that is sufficient enough for the argument. He still has the potential to be a lottery pick. if he plays very well for the rest of the year. Ramon Moore has NO CHANCE at being near the lottery, so they are two players of completely different calibers.. and no I didnt attck you, thats why i said "real question", because I do acknowledge that I dont know. Yes, you attacked my post because I was defending Chris even though I Have acknowledged that he played maybe his worst game as a Hoya...

Cool, you're changing your posts. We'll see where Hopson ends. I think he's good. Lottery? He needs to be more consistent. Moore played like lottery against us. That's all I care about him.
Everybody loves Chris.

Everybody loves Chris. but ive never changed my posts... haha but its cool keep making stuff up i wouldnt know how to properly deal with looking like an idiot either. yeah but the fact that hopson can be a lottery pick, and was once regarded as one makes all the difference. moore did not play like a lottery pick against us, hopson did play like one against pitt. and no, everybody doesnt love chris, youre just naive enough to think that i guess. its chill dude you cant win em all.

Let's see if we can right the ship shall we? CW almost single-handedly pulled this game outta the toilet for us. Discuss.

Good job by both of them to recognize when the shot isn't falling to go inside.
And anyone who was calling for less Chris could see the counter to that argument today. We were very not good when he was out.
Chris Wright was +21 in 35 minutes. The team was -10 in the 5 minutes he was out. Markel was -9. Sanford -5. And while some of those numbers are due to the last minute, the team looked a mess in the two longer sequences Chris was out.

Chris having an off game is going to happen every now and then. Defensive lapses or lack of defensive effort is a problem. Poor rebounding is a problem. Chris having a bad day is just an occurrence, it's not a systemic problem.

I agree that it's not a systematic problem, at least in the sense that he's doing anything to cause it or could improve it.
The issue is that Chris tends to go through slumps that last a decent amount of time -- at least his outside shot does -- and our team tends to really struggle.
I'd say the solution to that issue is in other players stepping up. When they don't, and Chris subsequently feels like he has to force it, that's when things go really wrong.

Jason has dealt with a lot this season and still made it through the storm. He was verrrrrrrrrrry close to his grandmom and he and his mom is still dealing with this. He is fine, but we don't need our so called Hoya fans to degrade our own players. Say something to lift them. I do agree sometimes when players are not playing well to sit, but to used vulgar language and violence behind a screen is just not cutting it. Jason figured it out in the second half and did well. Let's these boys learn life's lessons on the court and let us grown folks sit back and watch them makes these mistakes and learn/makeup from them...more encouragement is needed...cursing and all this is not necessary...we love our Hoyas not hate them...

Great that Chris and Jason drove in for layups, but DePaul is a terrible defensive team.
