By MSA (not updated): 1. New York City 2. Los Angeles 3. Chicago 4. Dallas-Fort Worth 5. Philadelphia 6. Houston 7. Miami 8. Washington, D.C. 9. Atlanta 10. Boston 28. San Antonio 31. San Jose 35. Austin-Round Rock 40. Jacksonville en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_of_United_States_Metropolitan_Statistical_AreasI don't disagree with your conclusion, but the numbers really aren't as great as your list suggests. Growth is undeniably strongest in the south and southwest, but the majority of the nation's population still resides east of the Mississippi.

Wait, so Chicago is considered "east" now? Is that why it's italicized with New York and Philadelphia?
And, DFW, we all know this is only a temporary thing--everyone is going to move North again once global warming fully kicks in

My point was to Georgetown: six of its seven focus areas (the tier I markets") reside along either I-5 or I-95. In-between? Just one (Chicago). If you live in Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta...you're not in the picture.

If you live in Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta...you're not in the picture. Oh, see, that's not at all what you said in your post. You said "it's time to start looking westward", but then grouped Chicago with New York and Philadelphia and are now grouping Atlanta with Phoenix, Houston and Dallas. If anything, Atlanta and Chicago should be switched if you want Georgetown to focus more on the western part of the country. Did you actually mean "start looking south"?
