It took this many rumors and smokescreens to add drama to an obvious decision to go to UK.

The shocking thing to me was that he mentioned that his mom agreed that UK was the best choice for him. Goes against everything we've heard about his mom favoring GU. She probably wanted Hoyas, but in the end it is NN's choice and they will put on a united front.

Ugghh... I thought that we had that one. Until I saw the three hats. The other two were bent, looked like he tried them on and played with them. Ours was brand new...
What a tease.

I can't believe he said he "was taking his talents". Really? You want the LeBron Decision comparison?
Don't like this kid and this egotistical crap with the tweets and the rumors that must have been placed just to create some drama for this tonight.

My last comment:
I feel foolish as a 40-yr old man that I sat here on the edge of my seat waiting for an 18-year old to decide where he's going to college...and he ain't my son! Pathetic! I'm disgusted with myself more than I am with his choice or the state of college hoops or the sesspool that is most of AAU ball.
That is all.

Hope that Noel's 15 minutes aren't up. The kid made his decision and it will or won't work out. Not a concern to the Hoyas and not really a shock. Most one and done players would have no reason to think the Hoyas are a better fit then Kentucky. I said a week ago that I thought the Hoyas need for Pollard is greater than adding another big man. Now if they land Devonta as a replacement for Hollis it would be great. If not they can hope for Upshaw, though again I am again not convinced that is the priority that others think. Really would like to see what Moses and Tyler bad Bolden have to offer along with Hopkins.

Wow.....good luck to the young man. Tough to recruit when you run a clean program.

Definitely more reason to never believe it until you see it!! Best of luck to Noel, and I hope we somehow get at least 1 of Pollard and Upshaw. Hope is the operative word. Hopefully we can recruit against Alabama and Fresno State. We now know we can't against Kentucky.

Where is the shock in him going to Kentucky? Unfortunate. Good to have our name again at the forefront of top prospects minds and getting this sort of attention can't hurt a program, even if we missed out on the kid. Hopefully we can pull Pollard and have a solid Top 25 team again next year.

Supposedly he changed late to UK. Like late this afternoon. Seems odd considering haircut. Who knows. And this is why I don't deal with high school kids. they are so much more mature at college level.

I cringed at the fact he used the "taking my talents" phrase - it's been mocked so much I thought nobody would use that.

Don't like this kid and this egotistical crap with the tweets and the rumors that must have been placed just to create some drama for this tonight. This. As I was telling Strummer today, I wanted this kid to come to G'town, but when he got there, he needed to be served a giant bowl of humility, because he's got an ego the size of Kentucky. As soon as he said "taking my talents to..." I knew it was over.
