Honestly, Im not upset that hes not coming here. If he came here he would havbeen gone after one year and big deal... Guys like Mourning and Ewing stayed and built a career and a legacy. This kid would not do that.
What I am upset about is if we got him it could have opened up a recruiting boon to set us up for years to come. I feel like were back to square one...

Supposedly he changed late to UK. Like late this afternoon. Seems odd considering haircut. Who knows. And this is why I don't deal with high school kids. they are so much more mature at college level. I can't believe $omething could change hi$ mind that late.....what could that $omething have been?

Hope is the operative word. Hopefully we can recruit against Alabama and Fresno State. We now know we can't against Kentucky. I'm pretty sure we can recruit against Kentucky - for talented players. For one and done players who announce their decisions on TV and put out rumors that they're going to a different school to create an element of drama for their decision? That's not Georgetown and won't ever be. I don't really even blame Boumtje, I'm sure he has his sources, but at some level the sources lied.

Where is the shock in him going to Kentucky? Unfortunate. Good to have our name again at the forefront of top prospects minds and getting this sort of attention can't hurt a program, even if we missed out on the kid. Hopefully we can pull Pollard and have a solid Top 25 team again next year. My thoughts exactly, we got a lot of positive attention that last few days. The Hoyas were relevant in national recruiting. The key is to build on the momentum and lock up Pollard.

yeah, that was one of those hoya hats you see in truck stops in nebraska on those spinning wire with dust and dead flies on them. He just blew it off before coming on.

What hurts more is the inability to gain recruiting momentum and get a top 25 class each year.

The biggest thing NN would have done for us was have a successful season and prove to future big man recruits that big men can still be successful here. It is a tough loss, but we will move on. If we get pollard we will all feel better and the wounds will continue to heal

You guys haven't been hat shopping recently have you? Flat brim, clean, and fresh are the thing with kids these days. I believe that he had the Hoyas had to chose them but instead picked UK and needed to show it by shaving his head.

Man, this thing exposed just how little our self-annointed insiders here know. We all got played. One funny sidenote is that balla now has "Roscoe = HOYA" and "Nerlens Noel = HOYA" on his resume. Less upset than I expected to lose out on him - he's one and done and it's hard to fault a kid like that for going to UK in the current college hoops environment. I hope we land one of the big fish still out there though.

I'm actually glad this kid is not coming - sure he has size the size and most posters here were going crazy over this kid to continue our big men tradition, but this kid has way too much ego and already wants to be treated like an NBA star. He would probably have ended up as a chemistry killer here anyway, and not be happy when he does not get standing ovations at Leo's dining hall.
All of a sudden, I have a lot of respect for Shabazz who chose UCLA over Kentucky$$$. And oh yeah, next year Kentucky team w/o Shabazz will never be as good as this year one - sweet 16 at MOST.

My last comment: I feel foolish as a 40-yr old man that I sat here on the edge of my seat waiting for an 18-year old to decide where he's going to college...and he ain't my son! Pathetic! I'm disgusted with myself more than I am with his choice or the state of college hoops or the sesspool that is most of AAU ball. That is all. ++++++ This was my exact thought right after he said Kentucky........
