Damn. I don't have a problem with the decision, but it's extremely disappointing that the "Monroe era" generated 0 NCAA wins.

This is incredibly disappointing.
I have faith in JTIII, but our road to making a deep tournament run just got a lot tougher.

Best of luck to Greg. Timing seems a little odd just because two members of the team knew this decision at least a few weeks ago, but it is what it is. Hard not to agree with hoyaboy1.
Now that we can talk about this, how capable is Lubick of playing center (specifically guarding opposing centers)? I'm assuming that Julian is in the gym every day, but I'm not sure he'll ever be able to get more than 30 a game.

Good luck Greg.

Selfishly, I'm dissapointed. Haven't felt like this since leaving the dunk on 3/18. Feel like I just got kicked in the Gonads. Nice to read his comments, how he will always be a hoya, another reason to turn on the unwatchable NBA for a few minutes at a time. Best of Luck, Do we have time to sign another Blue-Chipper?

Damn. I don't have a problem with the decision, but it's extremely disappointing that the "Monroe era" generated 0 NCAA wins. And no BE trophies of any kind for the team either. Even worse...Greg leaves just short of 1000 points. Sad. Good luck to you., Greg. Looking forward to seeing you at the next level.

Katz thinks we go from Big East contender to "middling" Big East team w/o Monroe.

Best of luck, Greg. Proud to call you a Hoya and hope you have a long and successful career in the league.
As for our returners: if I'm Henry, I'm salivating at this news. He needs to get his act together and work his ass off this summer, because the PT will be there if he accepts the challenge and takes those minutes. And if this is not the case, then we better hope Lubick is ready to contribute from Day 1, because JV is going to need help down low.

This will be the fourth straight year a Georgetown player will have been picked in the NBA draft. GU would have been better if he had stayed, for sure. But this sort of track record should continue to get good players to come play for JT III.

Could have been special next year with everyone back. Different looking team for sure now.

Greg made the obvious choice. He had a monster season stat-wise and will be drafted in the Top 10. It is good for the program that the first No. 1 HS recruit to decide to come to Georgetown in many, many years developed as a player and will be signing for big money this summer.
Best of luck to you Greg - I will really enjoy following you in the pros. Its impossible not to think what could've been in 2010-11, but I still like the make-up of our team and have high hopes for the upcoming season.

Best of luck to Greg, he's worked hard and deserved this. No one should get down on the team returning though - next year will be a very good year.

Another good luck to Greg. I'll be rooting for and following him wherever he lands along w/how I currently follow the pacers/okc/pistons.
It's also possible that we could see him go to the pacers in which case this ex-knicks will began to be a fan of one of his old sworn enemies.
