So glad UMCP is out! I think Ohio St. will come out of the Midwest in the end and probably face Kansas St. and Frank Martin in the final 4.

"Also, coaches like Frank Martin are a dime a dozen. Some reasons why JTIII is so great at Georgetown are his character and class (do you want a coach in a sweatsuit at all of our games?), his unique and cerebral offense (seems like a great fit at probably the most academically elite school in major basketball), and his love and passion for the university he grew up at! (legacy is something Georgetown values)." Dont care about any of this, only winning. Doesnt matter how cerebral the offense is if it doesnt work. Doesnt matter what you wear to the arena if you go home a loser like we did. Wrong - do not forget the CBI and CIT. ;D Seems like you would fit in well with Kansas and Memphis and UMass. Keep in mind that there are only 2 teams that end their season with a win.

We are the ONLY ones that can say that and the ONLY ones that can say they had the most disappointing tournament performance!

Kor-ey Lu-cious! Clap clap, clap clap clap.
Thank Yahweh for this kid.
Kudos to MSU for losing its best player and still maintaining its lead up until the last couple minutes. Of course, I was cursing down the stretch until Lucious made my day.

(His time with Cinci in ConfUSA doesn't count because a peewee coach could win that conference) Are you serious? He had some AMAZING teams while in CUSA. Ever heard of Kenyon Martin? He is a slimeball. That is all.

Could you guys imagine the GARY AND GRIEVIS ARE THE GREATEST/ GEORGETOWN IS TERRIBLE talk you would have heard from all the Maryland Fanatics on Sportstalk 980 and 106.7 if Maryland would have won that game yesterday?? You know Andy Pollin and Chris Knoche were looking forward to unleash their anti-Georgetown rants this week!!
I attended several KL games Vasquez played in the summer before his freshman year(2006) and in a game against Tombs or Clyde's, G.Vasquez hit a long 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer and then pointed his finger at a group of loud Georgetown fans. I'm assuming that incident led to you guys giving him the name BEAVIS.

That's the one thomas. I remember thinking, this hasn't even played a game of college ball and thinks he's god's gift to basketball. So happy to see him fail.

We are the ONLY ones that can say that and the ONLY ones that can say they had the most disappointing tournament performance! Actually you are both wrong. Along with the NCAAs, NIT, CBI, and CIT, up to 4 ivy league teams win their last game (that is assuming only one ivy league team, the conference winner, goes on to play post season and that team loses their last conference game). You also could have every independent win their last game, theoretically, if they were not playing each other, so that is seven more. Then there are the conferences that dont have all the teams go to a conference tournament. Like if the BE went back on only 12 teams. If those 4 that werent going play 4 that were going to the BET, but those 4 werent going on to post season that is another 4 possible teams. Im not going to go through and see how many other conferences dont invite all the teams to the conference tournament but i think there are a few others So in the end there are alot of teams that may end their seasons with a win, not just one; though only one team that ends their season with a win has had a good season. So how much of a jerk am I? ;D

Vasquez brings a lot of the bashing he recieves on himself. I mean, the Maryland students even turned on him early in his JR year. When a player taunts opposing fans and players, he will be HATED and that is what happened to Vasquez. Off the top of my head, I've come up with a list of things that causes people to really dislike Vasquez:
-Before Maryland's 2nd round game against Memphis last year, he claimed Memphis "Played In A Bad Conference And They Wouldn't Do That Good In The ACC." Memphis proceeded to blow out Maryland in that 2nd round game and the Memphis fans mocked Vasquez for the entire game
-A few weeks after Georgetown crushed Maryland last season, Vasquez told Comcast SportsNet,"Those Guys At Georgetown Are My Friends, I Haven't Forgotten About That Game, Hopefully We'll See You Guys Again In The NCAA Tournament."
-In a game at N.C.State last year, Maryland had about a 9 point lead with seconds left, instead of running out the clock, Vasquez swished a 3 at the buzzer and the N.C.State crowd booed loudly
-In a game at North Carolina during his SOPH year, Vasquez hit a layup and then yelled something to North Carolina recruit Kendall Marshall and his father who were sitting in the front row. K.Marshall's dad confirmed that G.Vasquez said something to them on another website
-After winning at Duke during his FR year, Vasquez said something to the effect of "Camron Indoor Stadium Is My House"
Even though it was just a summer league game, it's clear that the Hoya fans who Vasquez pointed at were EditedED OFF that he would do that. Vasquez seems like he really enjoys opposing fans and players being angry at him, it raises his level of play. Reggie Miller was like that too.

I also remember that at one point in the junior season you reference at the beginning he told maryland fans to " shut the Edited up!" and flicked off the stands.
