"The one position we've had the most trouble defending this season is the 3 (Singletary, Conyers, etc.). Georgetown doesn't appear to rely on the SF position a lot, which will enable us to keep Tommy on the floor at both ends more than we did against Kent or Akron, which is a positive for us."
Wow, Austin Freeman makes 2nd team All Big East, and they've never heard of him. I'm sure "Tommy" will learn about him awfully quick in film study, and probably have nightmares for years to come. The same guy mentions our incredibly slow style. Geez, all you have to do is go to ESPN.com and look up our results to see we don't play slow.

And if we survive the Midwest and St. Louis, we have to beat Syracuse again in the Final Four.
If all this happens, the National Championship game against Nova or Duke will be our easiest game.
In my office bracket, I have already picked the Hoyas to win it all. Yeah, I know I am smart enough to have graduated Georgetown and an Ivy League grad school too and that I should be able to analyze facts and evidence. But the way our guys played in New York was something special and the kind of heart I saw in Chris Wright making that miracle out of bounds save and the bucket with 20 seconds left, leaves me thinking that maybe, against all the facts and evidence, I best pick this Hoya team against all comers.

Nothign is easy for this team. We will have a tough time surviving this region, but we are capable. I am hoping UT loses in the 1st round, they are a WVU clone, and we will have to play very well to win against them. My only other thought on the brackets, Temple and Cornell got screwed big time. And Duke got another clear path to the FF. I hope they embarass themselves again.

Their adjusted tempo is the same as ours, which is actually too bad. If we could pay them to run, I would. Their best shot is to slow it down.
In one way, they are a lot like us -- they had a middling conference record (7-9), then got hot in their conference tourney. Which is why their board is full of "before we were a team" etc.
Of course, they play in a good conference, and we play in the Big East.
Good news - they are not a good rebounding team. They do force some turnovers and they can hit the three. But they don't have a lot of size.

we are the second afternoon game on thursday in provy, guessing a 2:30-3:00 start depending upon what the start time of tennessee is.

Vaughn and Monroe are both worlds ahead of anyone they have at the 4/5. Honestly, their guards are pretty good. But they just don't have anyone to handle Greg.

y'know - i really think Duke University is part of a conspiracy. It's almost like they're the number 1.

I thinks its more than a stretch saying a team from the Mid American Conference having a 7-9 record is "a lot like" a team from the Big East with a 10-8 record. That being said this team has to focuse on Ohio. I could easily see them start looking too far ahead and getting upset. Its kind of been the theme of this season.

This has probably been covered before, but Nova being seeded better than us is inexplicable.

JT III won't let it happen. Plus, Chris Wright is mad.

Youre boy Bassett will and could have an unconscious game to pull of the up set. I predict that Bassett is going to hound us.

Tennessee is really not a very good team. They have won two big games, at home, and have a good player in Chism, but they dont have near the athletes that wVu has. I think our draw has some big names, but is actually not that tough.

Not to take Ohio for granted, but I think it's safe to say that we all expect this team to win that game. And while I'm happy to discuss that game, I'd appreciate if you guys could help me out in understanding our path to the Final Four.
Tennessee? Are they the Kansas/Kentucky beaters or the team that got wiped by USC? Someone above said they are a less athletic/cohesive version of WVU? Does that sound right?
Ohio State? We would play them in St. Louis, which makes me nervous cuz Ohio State always travel well and St. Louis is not far. I've been listening to this "Experts" thing on ESPN and a few of the analysts keep saying that if you took away Evan Turner they are a NIT team. Agreed? Do they have any big guys to compete against Greg/Julian? Who do we have guard Turner? Is this one of those games we've seen from our Hoyas many times where we let one wing/guard go off and just stonewall everyone else?
Kansas? Am I wrong to think it's their depth that will give us trouble in terms of rotating big bodies in against Greg? Greg (like Roy did) seems to step up against big time names in the middle and Cole Aldrich is the next biggest name amongst big men, so I would expect a great game out of Greg, but is Aldrich too strong for Greg? Would we have Julian guard Aldrich? Am I wrong to think that we can handle Collins, but it's going to be Xavier Henry that we need to keep in check to beat them?
If we face any other teams along the way, I feel pretty confident, but these 3 are the ones that I think we could lose to for different reasons. Just interested to hear the thoughts of those that have seen them play more.

I don't know what to make of Ohio State. I can't tell whether to look at their last few games and think "this team is vulnerable" or "this team manages to find a way to win."
