deleted! Every chance gets -- he takes a shot at G'town; and he's from the D.C. Metro Area too! What freakin' sellout!

....sadly, pretty much middle of the road quality/bias-wise for ESPN.
Raftery is probably the closest to a GU homer but he hides it as best he can. I'd bet his daughter flames him about his colleagues' outward dislike for us.

ESPN is terrible in their coverage. They showed Rolli and then cut to the 1985 championship while gtown was in the middle of DOMINATING marquette. What was that? They have to reply a game from 25 years ago to get ratings? I used to hate Jay Bilas but he is the best of the worst.

Back to subject, I just saw the post-game and his comments were directed at how good MU is, that they can reach a Sweet 16 and that only teams like us will give them problems. He basically recognized how superior we are.

Hubert is a tool but otherwise I thought the espn crew tonight was very fair to and complimentary of us. You guys are way too senstive and paranoid.
Raftery, although likeable, doesn't really add much at this point in his career. Bob Knight is now their best color guy by far, though I like Bilas and Burke too.

ESPN is becoming unwatchablle. Monday Night Football is terrible with Chucky. They cover Tiger woods like they are TMZ. Their analyst rarely analyze anything. Their announcers and play by play dont really do anything (a few nights ago they said, kid you not, "Corey Haim and Corey and Corey Feldman were a good duo but how about Corey Fisher and Corey Stokes are lighting it up..." or something close to that. How poorly timed was that comment?

and...Dick Vitale is comical. Its like listening to a drunk uncle who still thinks Army is a national championship football contender.

He basically recognized how superior we are. that was very odd. I thought he was talking about the Hoyas and it looked like Digger and Seth or whoever the other broadcasters were though he was talking about the Hoyas too. And then it dawned on me that he was talking about Marquete. Senile thinking Hubert Davis.

Nothing wrong with that... He did not put us down.

A lot of love by Davis and Digger during the WV-ND halftime show...

Screw ESPN and McDonough. I just wish he'd been forced to call yesterday's game.
His praise for us sounds as forced as the family in Funny Games.

lol @ Hubert Davis ... is a bitch.
This is my first time hearing about him being from the 202 though. Where did he attend H.S.?

I rarely post, however, Hubert Davis is just terrible. He was asked about Georgetown, but then only wanted to talk about Marquette. His comments were ridiculous. That they would go to the sweet 16 or beyond and would only have trouble against a big team. I agree that they will be a tough team in the tourney, but almost every team is big compared with them. I have always given Hubert a pass, since I am a Knicks fan and also appreciate his work against the Dukies. But for him to not say anything about the Hoya's dominating performance is unforgiveable.

He was also a power forward for the basketball team. Dominating the boards and dunking. His uncle was All Star Walter Davis of UNC and the Phoenix Suns. When Hubert got to UNC he basically sucked his freshman/soph years because he was a forward and all of a sudden he was too small for forward. He basically had to reinvent his game to become a 3 pt shooting specialist. (I think he was kind of like in a Jeremiah Rivers situation where he could dominate in HS with his size, skillsset. Though in Jeremiah's case he never transitioned to something usefull in the college game) You have to give him credit though, he was able to reinvent his game to become an NBA player.

My waitress at the bar was really confused when she came in over in the middle of my giving Rollie and the highlight package the double finger salute

However, like Tbird, I am fairly confident that I rattled off uckrolliemassimino about six or seven times backtoback to the general confusion of the bartender and the rest of those around me. Darn tourettes intermittently brought on by bad sports broadcasting....
