I don't get his argument at all. The Big East Tournament is so good because it has so many quality NCAA tournament teams fighting it out for the title. It's not like teams want to win it less because they're safely in the tournament. It doesn't work that way.

I think that DePaul will beat USF. I watched them play last week in DePaul and it was anyone's game. They had a chance to tie the game at the end, but could not convert. I think it will be a close game at least.

DePaul will have a 15+ point lead on USF and then the game will come down to the final seconds. That's how pretty much all of their post-Wainright games have gone so why expect any different. Hopefully, they can pull this one out.

King is Nova's second leading rebounder? I honestly had no idea. I thought he averaged about a rebound a game.

Lots of fun facts in this look back at the Big East regular season: www.newjerseynewsroom.com/professional/2009-2010-season-big-east-conference-by-the-numbers6: Syracuse is the sixth different school to win the Big East in the last seven seasons with only Georgetown repeating in 2006-07 and 2007-08. 3: Number of players in the top-15 in scoring nationwide - Luke Harangody, Dominique Jones, Jeremy Hazell. No other BCS conference has more than one. 2: Where Connecticut ranked nationally in blocks per game. It is the first time since the 2000-01 season that the Huskies have not led the country or tied for the lead, finishing second to Marshall. Seton Hall was the last team to lead the category before UConn. 0: Players ranking in the top 30 of assists per game nationally. First time that the Big East has not had a representative do that going back to the 1996-97 season.

What's the over/under on the attendance at the start of the DePaul-South Florida game?

Not definite. He'll play when Wright needs him.

I'm really having a hard time predicting anything in this year's BET. We've been killing the Hoyas (rightfully so) for losses like Rutgers but up and down the schedule most teams have had some real clunkers this year within the conference. I could see some lower seeds stealing at least a few games today and maybe even one or two tomorrow (but not against us hopefully). My dark horse: Seton Hall.

Seton Hall somehow got a draw where their first three games are against teams they've beaten. They could definitely make a run.

They could - if they were somebody other than Seton Hall.

Some fun from VIPSports.com- Odds to Win BET
Syracuse- 3-2 Pitt -8-1 WVU- 5-2 Nova 7-2 Marquette- 20-1 Louisville 15-1 ND- 50-1 HoYaS- 10-1 USF 200-1 SHU- 100-1 Cincy- 150-1 Conn- 50-1 SJU 500-1 RU- 2000-1 Providence- 1000-1 Depaul 5000-1
EDIT: Tough not to like PITT for value, given their draw, specifically not seeing us in the Quarters.

How in the world is Pitt 8-1? Yeah, that is shocking. Pitt plays well in the BET under Dixon, too. Plus, yeah, a quarters match up with SH or ND?

USF doubling up DePaul at halftime 30-15. Jones getting to the rim at will. Looks like we're going to get another shot at USF.

Though fortunately DePaul seems to be making a game of it in the second half (current 36-31 USF). I'd like to have the Bulls be at least a little tired, rather than just warmed up, when we see them tomorrow.
Also, with all the talk about Gilchrist, he's current 0-7 from the field. Looks like he may be susceptible to good defense.

Raised an interesting point about how all these games will effect everyone's status. So we really want Uconn and Seton Hall to win games and get within the top 50 of the RPI giving us 2 more quality wins. they're 54 and 55 which assuming none of our their wins close to the 50 mark fall out would give us 9 top 50 wins, giving us more than anyone besides kansas.

Why couldn't Gilchrist wait until tomorrow to go 1-8?
