Thoughts and prayers are with the Chileans and Pacific Islanders as the potential tsunami wave moves westward toward HI. Some beaches in HI are currently experiencing water recessions, with the potential for the water to be gulfed up in a tsunami wave/surge. Local television reports that whales typically found in bays are nowhere to be seen.

I heard there was some damage in Ventura, CA from large waves. Can anybody confirm that?
