What a joke of a half. We stink right now. The only reason we are within 15 is because L'ville is average. They will give us every chance to stay in this game. Hopefully, we take advantage.

monroe is 0 for 2 on uncontested right handed layups. way to work on those fundamentals in the offseason big man.

I am sick and tired of how weak we play for prolonged stretches. Greg not dunking that ball right before half. Vaughn being pushed from under the basket to beyond the foul line by Samuels with no resistance while trying to post up. No one willing to step in front of Sosa on multiple opportunities to draw a charge. This game is being called much like the Rutgers game... a lot being let go, and AGAIN until we learn to sack the eff up, we are going to get beat again because our opponent was more physical.
Bigs... DUNK THE DAMN BALL. GO UP STRONG OR DON'T GO UP AT ALL. THIS IS THE BIG EAST. ACT LIKE IT.

No, that ball was not touched by a Cardinal, but Clark's arm was. Agreed. Louisville is getting away with an enormous amount of handchecking and holding. It is up to Georgetown on offense to now take it harder to the hoop and drive stronger; those fouls get called if there's real contact, but not usually if the opposing team backs away from it. I don't think we're playing poorly. We need shots to fall. They're not even bad shots a lot of the time, just not getting the roll. Maybe the other hoop is not as tight, good for us second half ; ;D

Sosa has traveled 4 times. Monroe has missed 3 layups. How come Louisville never has students at their games? Ralph Willard is on their staff??

Feel OK going into the second half. I'd say its a 50/50 game. We played much better after starting 1-11. I don't know why we continue to play teams who don't miss free throws.

Weak half. Chris looks out of control, and Greg has missed way to many short ones. But we are within striking distance so hopefully Austin can get hot in the second and drag us to the W.

You become a complete package over 1 summer? monroe is 0 for 2 on uncontested right handed layups. way to work on those fundamentals in the offseason big man.

Seriously. I love Greg but how does someone 6'11" not finish after that pass? just DUNK it. stop with the BS finesse going to the other side of the rim....and what is the deal with CW's shooting?
6 points from Free/CW/Clark and we're down 6 at the half. I guess I'll take it.

Chris Wright with another stellar half of basketball. We're getting more production out of Vee.

That was one of the worst first halves we played this season, in my opinion. How can it not be when we have to say, "thank god, Benimom, Sanford and Hollis have scored 10 points."

The most glaring problem at half is the fact that Chris and Austin have combined for 5 points. If they ever actually decided to start looking for their shots/hitting the shots they take, we will be fine. Its like Austin is afraid to shoot.

Monroe needs to be shown some videos of Joe Alexander or Keaton Nankivil or someone with the attitude he should have toward dunking. If it's feasible, try it and you'll either make it or get fouled.
Freeman needs to take it to the rack more in the second half.

So far CW has very little to show on the positive side of the ledger. We're getting plenty of looks but can't hit anything. Greg's inability to finish from the right side has become not just a weakness but a liability.
Meanwhile, Sosa is playing like an all-American, like we expected Chris to play.

Greg has got to be patient when he's got that right hand. He's not that good with it to begin with, and when that double comes, be patient and find the open guy instead of putting up a shot that was 30% with one guy on you.
CW was playing non-descript, but not bad, Then the last minute came and I guess he wanted his shot quota.
Got to keep Sosa out of the lane.

Don't know how much anyone should read into this, but FWIW Chris Wright's tweets certainly indicate he is eager to and confident about playing well tonight. Let's hope its a good omen. We have your answer. Not a good omen at all.
