could have just been completed by Austin Freeman. In 7 of his last 10 games he has scored somewhere between 20 and 33 points. He has scored over 20 points a game in his last 4 games and 3 of those games were against top 10 teams. He's shooting well over 50% from the field in that stretch and connecting from all over the court. His midrange game looks amazing, he's finishing in traffic, he's looking to run and stroking the 3.
I can't remember another Hoya outside of Iverson to have this kind of stretch.
Unbelievable performance by Austin and another great win!!!

I was looking at his stats yesterday: .538 overall from the field .506 from three point range Sick. He's so consistent and so efficient. Its like, I don't know, Dwayne Wade type of shooting (not saying he's in that category). He's heading towards top ten all-time Hoya territory.

In Big East play he is now at 20ppg, 59% from the field, and 58% from 3. Insane.

Austin's a stone cold killer. I loved in the 2nd when Scottie was trying to make it close and Austin nailed the pull-up right in his grill after Scottie's bucket to let him know for sure that Nova was going to lose. Great stuff.

Every time he takes a shot now, I think it's going in. Every time he misses, I'm stunned. I can't remember the last time I thought that of a Hoya.
Doris mentioned him as most improved player in the Big East. I was thinking more All-Big East First Team. Just sayin'.

Too bad Sleepy Floyd did not have the benefit of the three point line. Michael Jackson would have loved it too.

I haven't been this confident in a GU shooter since Jon Wallace.

I doubt anyone here has access to their pay board. Their free board is open to even without those with Rivals accounts lurking

Guessing it was Monroe speeding to the basket in the last 30 seconds to try to hit 100 instead of pulling out the ball to run out the clock.

I'm not much for the Awesome Freeman nickname. Much prefer the Stone Cold moniker. Perhaps next year's student shirts (or a fan shirt) could say Austin 3:16 (or Austin III:XVI) on the front and "I just torched your a**" on the back, perhaps with a skull with smoke coming out of it. My $.02. Now if we could only get Jim Ross to do commentary with Chvotkin...

I always love that at the end of games. Fans want their team to keep fouling and jacking up threes to try to claw back into it. But they want the other team to just dribble around like the game is over. 'Nova kept playing, so we did too. Fair enough. Anyway, back to Austin. Yeah, he's incredible.

Greg also talked some s**t to Wayns after hitting the free throw to get it to 100. Of course wayns wasn't exactly keeping his mouth shut either.

Every time he takes a shot now, I think it's going in. Every time he misses, I'm stunned. I can't remember the last time I thought that of a Hoya. I've had the same feeling for several weeks. He's taking himself seriously now. He's capable of taking over a game while being cool like Jon. And he knows it. More development to come this year.

Watching Austin in warm ups of the Syracuse game told the whole story. The place was an absolute mad house in one of the most intimitading environments i've seen. Austin meanwhile was going through the drills as if he was sleep walking.....without expression. He opens the game hitting three 3's in a row and shuts up all 30,000 people....he's become an incredably cool performer.

With regard to Monroe....he dropped an f-bomb Wayns just after scoring the 100th point. That said, we need a little bit of fire on this team and am glad he didn't just pull up and dribble the clock out.
