You're welcome. It just seems that most of your posts in response to DFW sometimes have a certain MUST... CRITICIZE... ESHERICK... theme to them. Also, if you tie every post DFW makes to things he may have posted 2 years ago, that seems somehow a bit much (but maybe that's just me). Believe me, the HHC is acutely aware of the need to get more young alum involvement. Their subsidy of student tickets to the CSUF game was one such investment in the future. Frankly, I'm tired of the "Oh my God, Esherick ruined this place" angst. Can't we move on? I would view myself as intellectually dishonest if I did not convey my thoughts as they exist with regard to the decline of the program, which is why I insist upon mentioning Esherick every time we discuss the temporary downfall of the program. Good point on the HHC sponsorship. I was most appreciative of that aspect of their involvement this year and should have commended them for it at an earlier time. They also displayed prominent HHC signs in the arena for the game, so I tip my hat to Mr. Karam et al. for doing a good job there. Maybe the one problem is that some may not have been fully aware of the involvement there, but I can't say it was for lack of trying. I am not full of angst at this time as much as I am full of hope. We currently have one of the best coaches in the NBE IMO, and we have a lot to look forward to in temrs of filling out the 2005 class and recruiting for the 2006 class, so stay tuned!

Re: intellectual honesty. Point made. Move on - nobody denies that aspect of it and frankly, the sooner we all stop reminding people (including recruits) of it the better IMO.
As for the future - I agree, it looks bright. Leveraging it to keep it bright for a long time has got to be important.

In the spirit of moving ahead, why don't we launch a new thread to discuss institutional support, ideas to increase participation in the HHC, thoughts about new facilities, etc that isn't titled for our former coach?
It seems silly to discuss all of those things in a thread titled for a guy who's no longer with the program since the name almost guarantees injecting him into the discussion.
Any objections to closing this thread down since: a) the New Mexico job went to somebody else, b) we can always start a new thread when and if the former coach lands a new job somewhere else, and c) the thread has careened away from its topic?
