From the Dems' point of view, Dodd's retirement is great news. Dorgan's retirement, not so great.

Talk about feet of clay. Dorgan and Dodd suck up all kinds of campaign and special interest cash, then courageously cast their vote for the hijack of 1/6 th of our economy, then decide to pocket all the campaign cash and not face the repercussions of their votes.
To call them cowards does a real disservice to cowards the world over.
As an aside, with Senator Swimmer rotting in Hell and Dodd leaving town, waittresses all over the District are much less likely to be bent over tables and mauled by Scotch-breathing slobs from New England.

From the Dems' point of view, Dodd's retirement is great news. Dorgan's retirement, not so great. Aye. Dodd will likely be replaced by Blumenthal, who will win easily. Unless there's a successful farmer/venture capitalist Democrat in North Dakota named Guy Charisma, it's safe to say that Dorgan's seat will switch.

Good to know you have appointed yourself the arbiter of taste and "worthwhile" posting on a chat board. Let me know when you run for higher office.

Don't you go counting out Gregg and Kerry. Good point. While I know little about Sen. Gregg, Kerry strikes me as a Chardonnay spritzer type.
