Anybody have a recollection of how we missed out on this guy? As I recall he had strong grades and a lot of talent. West Virginia... really?

We need to play like we did vs. Harvard when we face both of these teams. The height advantage will clearly be ours. We just need to take care of the ball better than they do, rebound and shoot a credible percentage.

I like Bob Wenzel as an announcer, but please, for the love of God, stop talking about Syracuse.

He originally committed to Indiana under Sampson and then decommitted when Indiana exploded.

I think we'll have fewer problems with WV than Quette if our 3 pt defense is remotely leaky. I have no clue who we'd put on Ebanks though.

Anybody have a recollection of how we missed out on this guy? As I recall he had strong grades and a lot of talent. West Virginia... really? Dude got expelled from his first high school (Bishop Loughlin in NYC) for an "altercation" with a teacher. There were a lot of questions about his character back in high school. Does that make more sense with WVU/Huggins? He's sorta remade his image since going away to prep school, committing to and decommitting from Indiana and now going to WVU, so you don't hear much about it anymore.

The recent New York magazine preview of the Big East breaks it down perfectly. nymag.com/daily/sports/2009/12/your_big_east_conference_previ.htmlWe might get burned on this one. The Mountaineers have two projected first-round draft picks — Devin Ebanks and Da'Sean Butler — which is nice to have, but they also need them at every game. Which is a problem, since Ebanks sometimes has to go away for a little while.

I think GU has a tough matchup vs. WVU, Cincy and UConn. Not to mention the Cuse too.
