Like him or not, Knight's kids pretty much all went to school and graduated. He was never accused of any recruiting shenanigans either AFAIK. If anyone can throw stones on this issue, he can. Seth apparently has fallen into the "All Coaches are God" cult (President and Founder: Dick Vitale).

I think Davis would have been less harsh if Knight had prefaced his comments with something like "I'm was far from perfect in my behavior as a head coach but . . . " Davis also seemed to think it was ironic that Knight makes these comments as a member of the media now given Knight's relationship with media when he was a coach.

Yeah, but that's everybody, more or less. (Our own Pops included). Seth Davis is a tool. I have heard nothing to make me reconsider that fact. Bob Knight may have had his disciplinary and temper issues, but I think he is in a quite satisfactory "moral" position to pass judgment on Calipari, that slime.

C'mon, that is beyond lame on Davis' part. Does he really feel a need to somehow attempt to defend Calipari? Really? I don't care who the messenger is, because the message is totally on point.

My only problem with Knight is he could have done all the good things without the choking and headbutting. I don't mind the verbal stuff. I always compare him with JT2, who was just as strict on academics and everything else that Knight was, without being a bully to his players.

No disrespect intended, but are we talking about John Thompson who coached the Hoyas from 72-99? Ask some of his players if he had a little bully in him. Which by the way is not a knock on Coach.

JT, Bobby Knight, Dean Smith, and Joe Paterno. Are they saints? Of course not. But is their dedication to the development of their kids as well as winning programs without resorting to flagrant NCAA violations far better than Calipari? Hell yes. Seth Davis can go do to himself what no self-respecting woman would ever do to him. If you play "no you're the a*****e" to defend Calipari you should lose all your journalism credentials immediately. Yeah we get it, CBS pays your salary and they make money from slime like Cal. That makes you a gutless, spineless, wh*** with no integrity. Sorry I'm just trying to be as hard on Seth Davis as Seth Davis wants Bobby Knight to be on Bobby Knight before being that hard Calipari.

By bully I mean head butt, choke, verbally abuse, etc. JT2 can cuss and get on you as well as anyone, but Knight went over the line sometimes.
