I have long been of the opinion that there are a several "good" Italian restaurants in the DC area, but no "great" ones.
IMO, Milano fits this description.
(somewhat overpriced, as is most in Georgetown)

It's one of those places that politicos who live in Georgetown go to do "business" and/or "be seen". Dick Cheney used to go there from time to time when he was Vice-President...... and you probably know based on my political views whether I think that's a positive or negative thing.

Was Michael Jordan's favorite spot when he was in town. More of a scene than a restaurant, as far as I can tell.
