The first game was in Iverson's second year, and we won at ND 74-69 according to hoyabasketball.com So that's watchable-I think the 5-8 time slot might be a good time to go out for / make dinner, have a few drinks, etc...Just so long as your back in front of your TV by 8pm.

Perhaps they are showing this one to have a balance (i.e., a game where GU wins and one where ND wins). It could also have the appeal of having a number of future NBA players (Iverson, Othella, Jerome, Jahidi, Troy Murphy).

3:00-5:00 - GU at ND - January 15, 1996 74-69. Allen played, but did not have a huge scoring effort. Maybe they just wanted AI?

Is that the game Iverson got the most steals in a Big East game...like 10? or was that against Miami?

I remember Jerry Nicholls making a couple threes in that game.

I remember Jerry Nicholls making a couple threes in that game. Ah - good old 8 pt Jerry Nicholls. It felt like almost every home game my freshman year (95-96) he had 8 pts -- usually off of 2 3s and a FG. Couldn't score any more than that, no matter how close to the basket he got.

If someone taped those 3 games for me (or even just the first two, whichever works) I'll pay top dollar and do whatever ya need to pick them up. I MUST see that 4Ot game again, and any G'town Iverson footage would be spectacular.
If anyone can do it, IM or email me or something.....

5:00-8:00 - ND at GU - February 9, 2002 Four overtimes Never have I been so excited about having my Wednesday 5:10-7:00pm class. Although, thanks to Ashanti and Roy, this game no longer exists in the FLHoya universe.

I MUST see that 4Ot game again,. Really?!?!?! Wow, I NEVER want to see that game again. I watched it in a NYC bar with MegaFan. Watched Craig give the ball to Braswell 4 times in a row -- at the end of Reg., and the first three OTs -- and direct him to take the last shot. All the while, we had Mike Sweetney on the team. One of the most frustrating losses I've ever seen. This will be a horrible reminder of the worst of Braswell, but much worse will be the reminder of how Craig could manage to lose any close game against anyone. On the other hand, I am really looking forward to seeing T3 lead us against ND. With Cook, Green and Bowman, we have a shot against anyone. GO HOYAS!

The worst part of that game is that Braswell actually hit a shot to win before the buzzer sounded (end of first OT? Regulation?). The replay showed he clearly beat the game clock...
...but of course he didn't beat the shot clock.
I never, ever, ever want to see that game again. Ever. Sweets was a beast, but I almost died.

Worst thing about that game:
I only brought one flask and beer sales got cut off at halftime. Who would have thought to plan for 4OT's?
The positive being, we were much better prepared (supplied) for 2OT's at ND the following year.

Fan,
Was it someone in your group that got kicked out of the Joyce Center for drinking the Champagne of Beers in the stands? One of my fav memories from that game.

Ugh! That game killed me. I've never been to a game where I was hammered and then sobered up and got a hangover before leaving.
The ND game was much better.
I think more than one person got kicked out for the imbibing in the champagne of beers.
