I saw almost none of the game, so I will have to defer to those that did. (The channelsurfing link wasn't working when I tried it, but from what I see, it must've started working later.) In any case, if you had to point out just one or two positives and negatives from just the one game, what would they be?
My guess, from the comments I've read is that rebounding is probably a positive.
Thoughts?

mapei got it right, also note that they somehow managed to shoot 40% so our improved D did not necessarily force bad shots. if they had hit some 3s
positives must include Clark's stroke and D at the top of the zone. he is our shutdown defender now and will usually get the opps. slasher/scorer as his task. if he can continue to stroke jumpers and play lockdown D, he will officially become someone special (well, more special than we all are just for being hoyas, but it seemed silly to write "somehoya special").

Actually our D was very, very good. Other than a few fast break buckets off of turnovers, most of Tulane's makes were tough, contested shots.

highs - team chemistry, clark's stroke from deep, feeding the bigs....bigs got a lot of touches, in bound plays resulting in lay ups.
lows - cw at times seems a little out of control at times, spacing on fast breaks were a little off resulting in 3 point attempts instead of lay ups, tendancy to rely on the 3 ball a little too much.

I'm with seaweed. The fast break spacing left us with way too many 3s, albeit open ones. We need to improve that because we have the guys to be very good at picking our spots on the break.
The high, no matter what, has to be the boards. Julian and Henry looked so much more confident. And the energy level was great.

That zone we ran in the second half was pretty, I think we'll see more of that as the year goes on

The defense was actually very strong, at least from what I could see. They really were good at mid-range shots -- nice teardrops, etc. Most teams don't make those.
On the other side, we left them open from three a few times and we really didn't have to worry about them down low.

The most important positive: It looks like we made some adjustments. Some of the things mentioned above (in-bounds plays, feeding the bigs, zone D, etc.)—they were all new or at least far better executed than at the end of last year. I think it shows that III and this group busted their behinds to make some necessary changes. And that's all you can ask for.

considering the midriff-baring uniforms:
high: the busty shockwave dancer
low: the chubby shockwave dancer

low - eventhough it was a two because he had his toe on the line, henry attempting another three pointer. don't like him shooting that shot with time left on the shot clock.

Those were the worst cheerleaders I have EVER seen. They wouldnt have made my HS cheer squad. I took several pics to show people. That was absolutely the low point of my evening! I really wish their cheer squad woulda wore sweaters and jeans. And that thriller skit at half time...

high: after tulane got called for a technical on a dunk, freeman got so high up on his dunk that he did not even touch the rim. also, sims on a put-back dunk after tulane missed badly on a put-back dunk.
