Exactly one week until the first game. Normally I'd wait to start a thread like this. But since we already have our first pregame article I thought it'd be ok. thehullabaloo.com/2009/11/06/monroe-and-the-hoyas-set-to-invade-fogelman-arena/"The Tulane frontcourt simply will not be able to guard Monroe in half-court sets." We also get this tidbit on covereage from The Hoya: "[the game] will be broadcast on ESPN Radio. The Hoya will be at Tulane with a live blog of the game and complete post game coverage."

If it were on, I would go to the Bellagio, just because it is the nicest casino. Not too far from Planet Hollywood, across the street.

LET'S GO HOYAS. Start it off with a strong win. Tough D, rebounding, a good A/TO, offensive efficiency.

I am heading down for the game and was wondering if the Hoop Club or Alumni Club of New Orleans released anything about events for this game? I can't seem to find them anywhere

According to Tulane's Athletic website linked in the post above. We will be able to access live video of the game over the internet. For $9.95 a month.
Do feeds like this get onto sites like justin.tv?

Bad news: Tulane shot 9-18 from 3pt land in their scrimmage. I hope our Perimeter defense which was supposedly lacking in the VT scrimmage gets shored up.
Good news: despite that they still only won by 14.

Dear Hoyas,
The Georgetown Club of New Orleans will be hosting activities for Georgetown's opening game against Tulane, this Friday, November 13th. Here are the details:
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.: The Georgetown Club will be hosting a pre-game tailgate near Tulane's Fogelman Arena from 6-8pm. The location is the Monroe Quad, located directly behind Tulane Law School and adjacent to Tulane's arena. The Club will be providing food, soft drinks, beer, and wine. We will be asking for a $10 donation to cover the Club's costs. We will also have plenty of Georgetown giveaways compliments of the Hoya Hoop Club.
Directions to the tailgate party: The Monroe Quad is situated directly behind Tulane Law School, which is located on Freret St. near the intersection of Calhoun St. If you are facing Fogelman Arena from the main entrance on Freret, the law school is the second building to your right. Just walk in between the arena and the law school to reach the back end of the law school. You will see a grass quad (the Monroe Quad) where the tailgate will be held. Parking may be available at the Loyola University Parking Garage situated directly across Freret St. from Tulane Law School.
8:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Georgetown takes on the Tulane Green Wave at Fogelman Arena. Tickets are still available from the Tulane Ticket Office at 504-861-9283. If you'd like to sit with other alums, just request the "Georgetown Alumni Section".
10:00 p.m. - till: Join other Hoyas for drinks at Bruno's Tavern, located at 7538 Maple St., at the corner of Hillary Street, approximately 5 blocks away from Tulane's arena.
We have confirmed alumni travelling in from DC, Boston, Chicago, Texas, California, and New York, to name a few. If you haven't RSVP'd for the pre-game tailgate, please do so as soon as possible to matthew.r.payne@gmail.com. Please RSVP for those events that you will be attending so that we can include you on any further updates.
Thanks very much, and go Hoyas!

Goals, other than winning.
Win the rebounding battle.
More assists than TOs.
