Never once being out-rebounded or out-hustled. +1

A win against Tulane. Not looking beyond that, and I hope the team isn't, either. Agree 100% with the second clause.

Top 5 BE, & earn a 6 seed in the NCAAs. I'd like at least one NCAA win, but I won't consider the whole season a failure if we play well up until then and something weird happens in the tourney.

2 wins over Easter weekend, thus being a step up from 2 years ago with only one win during Easter weekend.
Truthfully, I think Sweet Sixteen and Semis in BET and top 5 in BE

What would define this season as successful for you? If I'm conscious for the end of every game, that would be a really successful season for me.

First off, not having a coronary over boneheaded plays. Next, consistent rebounding on both ends of the floor and Chris with a sweet A/TO ratio and a % from 3 north of 35%. Also, Austin averaging at least 13 a game also shooting better than 35% from the floor. Last, Greg going top 4 in the draft. Not because I want him to go (obviously) but because that would mean that we as a team had a successful season and Greg personally improved in a big way.

Georgetown crushes their opponents, the opposition is driven to the exits, and we hear the lamentation of their women.

Sweet 16.
If this team doesn't reach the Sweet 16 in its two seasons with Greg Monroe, that would have to be labeled a massive underachievement. Especially with two other McD's AAs on the team at the same time.

I don't see why we can't win the Big East and get to the Elite 8 in the NCAA's. This might be as good a chance as we've had in awhile. This team is just as talented, although more unproven, then the one that got to the Final Four a few years back.
Also, you have to figure that Monroe is gone after this season.

No bad losses. 2-3 "surprising" wins. Semis in the BE Tourney. Sweet 16 appearance. Chemistry throughout. Another year of the fellas being great kids on and off the court.

This team is just as talented, although more unproven, then the one that got to the Final Four a few years back. I don't know that that's true. We have some guys who were really good in HIGH SCHOOL. Not one has yet proven himself to be a top-tier college player. There are lots of McD's AAs who don't pan out in college and lots of unknowns (Jeff Green, anyone? Jon Wallace?) who do. I'm not saying that our guys are bad; just that they haven't shown themselves to be much better than average at this point. I'm not gloating over our "talent" until they give me a reason to. I said upthread that I would like top 5 in the BE and one win in the NCAAs. That certainly seems possible, and I'll stick to it. But how about some rebounding and some defense? Some 3-point shooting? Fewer turnovers? To assume that we are going to make a Great Leap Forward into the top 10 is pretty wishful at this point.

Totally agree, Mapei. If this team is as talented as the Final Four team, then they will show it on the court. High school rankings are moot the minute you step on campus.
