Seriously, this is really pathetic. I'm noticing this kind of thing more and more.
Number 1, it's bad enough that people don't take enough pride in their work to make sure they're spelling things correctly (or are too ignorant to know any better), especially when the product is in public view. Misplaced apostrophies, incorrect use of plural vs. singular ... all of these things seem more and more prevalent on signs and billboards.
Number 2, it's disrespectful to a fmr. prez.
Number 3, IT'S RONALD REAGAN. THE GUY'S NAME IS ON EVERYTHING!!!

THE REVENGE OF THE ENGLISH MAJORS IS AT HAND!!! Rise up, my brethren. Our time is nigh, as foretold by the prophets in The Faint! These Philistines soon will pay dearly for their poor grammar, punctuation and style. We shall stain the face of the earth red with their blood and the color of our markup pens. ;D (I heard the Washington Natinals were very upset at this error.)

The one that cracks me up the most is incorrect use of parentheses. I love it when people think they should be used to emphasize a word, any word they randomly "choose." Or a lame attempt to belittle someone's “argument” by selectively quoting certain “words” apropos of nothing.

More amusing is the fact that you probably meant quotation marks, not parentheses But I agree -- unnecessary quotation marks are hilarious! I would think it would get boring, but this blog never stops cracking me up: www.unnecessaryquotes.com/

I'm relieved to learn the sign was new. That's the exit for my neighborhood, and while I don't use 395 North all that often, I'd feel a little less worthy of that GU diploma if it had been up for a long time and I hadn't noticed.

Funny how Charles E. Smith has managed to have his name spelled correctly.
