NCAA- get off your high horse, license these suckers and make more money off of it. It's the American way. And I am sure Anheuser-Busch is quaking in its boots at losing the opportunity to exploit the lucrative Stony Brook tailgating scene.

As I am equally sure that the students at Stony Brook will not be eager to buy just as much beer as they would otherwise, if the cans in the store don't sport Wolfie the Seawolf decked out in scarlet & gray.
Personally, I think AB should take St. Pete's marketing concept one step further.
A $100,000 scholarship to the school whose colors sell the most cans.
Maybe a Facebook "Show Us Your Team Colors Party" group.
Now, that'd really get the NCAA's panties in a bunch. ;D

I think it's clever, and I don't see anything wrong with it. These cans won't make people drink any more than they normally would, and it might make those who are already drinking choose Bud Light.

Is alcohol consumed by college students? Only ones 21 and over. And only in moderation. The only thing that concerns me is if i am going to be subjected to Red and Yellow (or white) UMD cans for the next five months (or how ever long they are doing this for).

Man, I remember the days when I would drink crap beer.
Then I made money. I honestly haven't had a Bud Light since. It's been good times.

Man, I remember the days when I would drink crap beer. Then I made money. I honestly haven't had a Bud Light since. It's been good times. Beer snobbery is ugly, especially when it is directed at a product with such consistent "drinkability." While I will agree that I favor other products when enjoying a beer after work in my home, and will often choose another option at a bar, there really is no better product for consumption of several beverages over the course of many hours at a tailgate than cold, light, American macrobrew, and among those products I much prefer the taste, or frankly, lack thereof, of Bud Light and even Busch Light to their Miller and Coors equivalents. There is a time and place for virtually all types of beer, and for my money nothing pairs better with a hot dog than Bud Light, and millions of American appear to agree with me.

Give me Miller over Bud any day. I'm with SF. Miller Lite is far better than any other, at least as far as that type of beer goes.

Give me Miller over Bud any day. Reasonable people can disagree on this point, I hope. To me, "more" taste does not always = better taste when this is the type of beverage I am seeking.
