Bolt was denied another world record today, but he picked up his third gold medal of the champs in the 4x100m. The US conveniently handed him the gold, when they got DQ'ed in their heat - so what else is new. Actually, I think the US had an outside chance of beating Jamaica today, because their handoffs were a bit sloppy. They still ran the 2nd fastest time ever, so the US would have had to have perfect passes and Tyson Gay would have had to be healed of his groin injury to pull it off.

A postscript to the World champs directly from the USATF home page:
- Nick Symmonds is the first American to make the men's 800m final at a world outdoor championships since Rich Kenah won the bronze medal and Mark Everett finished eighth in 1997.
Of course, Rich Kenah is a Hoya grad.
