Freeman is going to have a huge year. 15 lbs lighter would be my guess and the one handed dunk over two guys on Sunday was something you didn't get last year. Stay away from the burger madness and A Free is all big east this year. Freeman had an ill open court dunk Friday as well. Also turned on the motor and busted through about 8 surprised players in transition for a layup. Most of all this is a guy who sees the floor lucidly and has top notch spatial ability, he is a natural at seeing lanes and opportunities and understanding positioning. He actually has unusually good endurance and cardio development, should still be motoring at the end of games next year when everyone else on the court is fading. Looks like he's on rollerskates coasting up and down the floor. BTW I love Freeman at the point which they did most of the game. Wright needs to find the rythm of the game, he has the athletic ability but tends to expect things to work quickly rather than on the 6th or 7th or 8th pass, like he tried for 5 seconds to get the ball to Monroe when he was double teamed, just swing the ball to the other side and wait for the defense to balance out and Monroe will eventually get it in the course of things when the defense is not expecting it. The same rapid-fire mind also allows Wright to make quick plays, though, he had a nice touch pass in traffic and operates well in broken plays and think-quick emergency situations. I actually like Wright at 2 guard more than point, teams will have to follow him around and spread the defense since he can penetrate. Now this is an interesting suggestion. While I didn't necessarily think too highly of Freeman's passing ability last year, Chris has always been more of a 2 guard. Do we dare put Austin at the point, giving us length at that position while sacrificing that length at the 2 guard spot?

chris is not, has not been, and will never be a shooting guard. never, never, never, never, never....he's our POINT guard, and our leader, and the entire fanbase needs to stop debating his role in the program and embrace him for what he will be this season...our captain.

We have a winner! Most concise MCIGuy post ever. It was late. I was tired. Like Indy in Raiders of the Lost Ark why would I engage in a lengthy sword fight when a gun shot would do?

Just a thought, and I wasn't debating anyone's role in the program.

Because you care about the scores in addition to my mental health. From tonight's quarterfinals:
(2) DCX 52; (7) CLYDE'S 66
(4) BEYOND BELIEF 77; (5) TOMBS 67
Tomorrow: (1) We Are One vs. (8) Bearcats; (3) Aquamarine Hunger Force vs. (6) Premiere Athletics
Saturday:
(6) Clyde's vs. (4) Beyond Belief at 1:00pm (that's what they announced--they announced at least twice Clyde's would be playing at 1:00pm)
Winners from Friday night at 2:15pm.
Sunday:
Championship at 2:00pm
Now I'm gonna do that thing I do with the writing and the typing and the music video.

Mental health be damned.
Does this board betoken mental health?
I think not.
That's why I am here.
Anybody want my old 'Eastern Basketball's from the '80s?
Mental health, indeed!

be·to·ken 1 : to typify beforehand : presage 2 : to give evidence of : show;
In an odd linguistic co-inkydink, it's also Indo-Uralic for fajita.

Am I not making myself clear?
I can't tell from this perspective.
It all seems so logical to me.
Sad really ... but not surprising.
What's the question again?

I would say about twenty or thirty.
It depends on the prevailing wind.
