ESPN.com's 12th ranked point guard Eric Bledsoe committed to Kentucky at a press conference on Wednesday. He joins ESPNU 100 prospects DeMarcus Cousins, Daniel Orton and Jon Hood along with junior college standout Darnell Dodson in new head coach John Calipari's first class at Kentucky.
Bledsoe chose the Wildcats over Calipari's former school, Memphis, in making his decision.

Yeah, Kentucky now has 16 guys on scholarship (now including Meeks who will probably leave). What a mess. Calipari is a joke. He is going to kick 3 guys off the team now.

According to Katz at ESPN, they actually would have 17 if Meeks decides to return. So jackass Cal may have to boot four guys from his team to make room for all his mercenaries. Quite a situation there. They should be very good, but Cats fans should enjoy it while it lasts. I think a smackdown from the NCAA is pretty much guaranteed after a few years of cheating in Lexington.

I'm not sure we as Georgetown fans have much room to talk about kicking guys off the team.
That said, the rate at which Calipari's doing it might be a bit alarming. However, if I was a Cats fan, I'd be pretty happy right now.

Wow ...gotta give credit to those three young men for speaking with a lot of class after having to leave their dream school. It sucks that the newcomers replacing them probably had UK as an afterthought until Calipari came on board.

Only forcing 3 out? That must means Meeks isn't coming back.

well i was reading that UK fans think liggins eligability rests on meeks decision. If meeks comes back liggins will be declared academically inelidgable for the year but if meeks stays in the draft miraculously liggin's grades will be fine.

There is a zero percent chance that this kid could qualify on his own. It's a good thing he signed with a coach who knows how to work around these little problems.

Can we just move on from talking about TRASH PROGRAMS like Memphis and Kentucky. Really they have a place--and it's beneath the dog crap and gum from bottom of a shoe that basically is "cologne" to Calipari and the likes who use methods to run those Semi Pro "organizations".
