Can't believe it took me this long to get to this thread - thanks for the laugh RDF.....
BTW hifi - not sure your usage of "dog" and "fight" in the same sentence discussing the NFL was such a great idea....

It is not outside the realm of possibility that Favre is still working for the Packers and is infiltrating the Vikings to destroy them. And even if that's not the case, I'm betting the Packers think it might as well be. For the next six to eight weeks (at least), the Vikings have no way of knowing whether they have a Pro Bowl-bound QB on their roster or not. Sometime in midsummer, they'll realize that they still don't have a starting QB and that they've missed the opportunity to sign a free agent QB, and they missed every other free agent because they had no idea if they'd have any cap space left after signing Brett. Minnesota's offense will still be Adrian Peterson and ten guys that fall down a lot. Obviously Favre is just stringing the Vikings along to get back into Green Bay's good graces by destroying a much hated rival. This would totally make up for un-retiring last season and the season before.

FHills, good point, but remember, Favre is from backwoods, Ms., so I wouldn't doubt that he's been to one of them illegal dog fights or two in his life.

I wonder if they will take another one of those porn cruises to nowhere. I think Vick would probably be down with that.

I won't believe it until opening day when he is NOT in uniform. I can't. I can't believe that the Vikings begged him and he didn't respond. I won't.

They say hindsight is 20-20 ... I think that some of us here had similar foresight:

That, too, was on May 20th.

Well ... maybe not a "porn cruise," but it didn't take long to find the strip club. And by the way ... if, he does end up in Minnesota, ..... who knows?

I had totally forgotten about this thread, since I don't care much about the ol' bullslinger, err, gunslinger one way or the other, but I have to admit, this brought a smile to my face. Nice job, guys.

I fully support Bill Simmons suggestion that we start calling Favre "VD" because he just won't go away

Edited. I knew that Favre was going to pull some bitchass skip training camp I'm the gunslinger I don't need your "practice" or your "checkdowns" move. I hope he gets hurt and I hope he gets hurt badly enough to snap his consecutive game streak before he passes Alan Page for the all time record.
And I was just starting to talk myself into Brad Johns...I mean Trent Dilfe...I mean Sage Rosenfels too.

Was listening to Rome this morning driving to work, and his first two calls were from two positively venomous Packer fans. And now we have Viking fan Tbird unloading on the ol' bullslinger. Anecdotally, it would appear that no one wants Brett in Minnesota. I love it. And I hope he goes down in flames, no offense to the Vikings.

And I hope he goes down in flames, no offense to the Vikings. Agreed. I mean, I'll feel bad for Vikes fans and AP, but I hope 1. Favre gets hurt in the next 3 weeks and 2. the Vikes go 1-15 (because no one deserves to go 0-16 except the Lions). EDIT: The Chiefs took out Tom Brady last season. Favre is supposedly starting against them in a few days. I'm just saying... OMG he's already in a practice uni. I hate ESPN, no, make that BFNN (Brett Favre News Network).

Farve returning to the NFL is evidence that we need health care reform with "death panels". Our society cannot afford to pay for continuous reconstruction of Farve's biceps and other surgeries. In order to prevent further medical costs, a "death panel" must hold a hearing and take action.

Well done, sir! ;D I am pretty sure that A.J. Hawk, Charles Woodson and a few others would be more than happy to serve as death panel for Mr. Fah-vruh.
