After reading some articles he sounds like a great young man that would fit our program nicely and seems to be very high on us. With one article quoted him as almost committing to us last summer. Anyone have any idea what kind of priority he is for us? Originally from LA but has been shuffled around ever since hurricane Katrina and now is living on Long Island. 6'8 225 Center/PF w3.nbebasketball.com/index.php/class-of-2011-intro-steele-davis/

Uh, this is a joke, right? NYCHoops.net just wrote a feature on this guy for Rivals alleging that he's really 20 but pretending to be 16. NYCHoops.net was contacted by AAU Coach, Nate Cadogan, who said he coached Davis in 2005. "His name isn't Steele Davis, it's Neville Davis and he played for me on the Lamar Odom All-Stars," said Cadogan.
The Lamar Odom All-stars a/k/a Team Odom is an AAU team sponsored by and named after the LA Lakers NBA star.
Cadogan provided NYCHoops.net with a team photograph, including Neville Davis, and a copy of the Davis' 2005 team application which Neville Davis lists his date of birth as May 5th 1988 and his high school as Pacific High School.

Lol sorry I didn't see that article. I guess I need to edit the title once they figure out how old he is.

Didn't this kid (guy? grown man?) pitch for a Bronx 13-and-under team in 2001? I think he was only 15 years old back then.

I'm from the NY-area, so I remember the Danny Almonte segment well—it was one of the huge news stories (along w/ Chandra Levy) that got completely dispensed with on 9/11. This Steele character just reminded me of Almonte.
