Speaking of Centers... when do we get our next, true, real, 7'0 (for Lic) Georgetown Hoya BIG MAN? I mean, JT3 said it himself. We are ___ ___ Georgetown!
and
Some have forgotten, We will remind them.
What the heck else could he have been talking about in the above, other than GU Basketball which starts with All American Centers and Hoya Paranoia from.... "BIG MAN U!!!"
Josh Smith should have been a HOYA commit!
Who's next? Somebody's Kid? Zo? Deke? Some big, tough, athletic, smart, intimidating BIG GUY!

Chaney from what i remember of seeing him play is a skilled 4 so he might be able to play the 5 in our offense. He has a shot out to 16ft IIRC.

Just let Julian beef up with 20 pounds of muscle and that solves the in the paint problem. Go for some combo guards

But maybe he'll work his butt off this summer and make a serious commitment to the team and his game. It would not be entirely surprising to see a big improvement from him in his second season. I hope so. I am hoping that for all of our kids. GO HOYAS! WORK YOUR BUTTS OFF THIS SUMMER!

Sir Saxa, what's your problem with Julian? He was hard to evaluate last year with so few minutes killing time while Greg rested. We still haven't see him and Greg on the floor together for 5 minutes.

i agree sax. there were a few things he did that raised my eyebrows a bit. he may not have finished some plays, but his decisions were pretty good. maybe he can bulk up and do somethings. not sure about playing him at center though..

Didn't really sound like he has any problem with Julian just that he would be pleasantly surprised if he got a lot better.

Julian played well at the Kenner league last summer, but it wasn't the GU high post Princeton. He does better in the low post or just outside the paint. His high post moves other than passing are not close to being crediable.

another kenner league summer with all the younguns (hopefully including monroe) returning should be a nice way to boost our stock leading up to '09-10. wright, freeman, clark, monroe, simms, hollis are all going to improve by leaps and bounds.

Didn't really sound like he has any problem with Julian just that he would be pleasantly surprised if he got a lot better. Exactly Nathan. I have no particular "problem" with Julian. But I would not say his rookie season was particularly inspiring either. Doesn't mean he can't play a bigger and more important role next year, even if it is not a starring role. The UCONN game he played really well on D alternating with Greg in the second half when Monroe had foul trouble. I thought that would be the start of him making a bigger impact this year. But it wasn't. And this is not to single out Julian. I think the entire team -- especially Greg, Hollis and Freeman -- need to hit the weights and gain (or lose in Austin's case) some serious pounds. Get stronger. Work on skills.. Greg -- right hand, Jason, handle, etc. My overall feeling is this team seriously underperformed this season. Doesn't everyone see it that way? If I were a player on that team, I would work my ass off -- and try to motivate all my teammates to do the same -- over the summer. Come back stronger, work on skills, watch some tape, and get serious about improving. JT3 and staff need to work on their.....part in this too. I'd really like to have workout wonder Tyler Crawford back to get on these guys... and Pat Jr. to motivate and encourage and energize. OK. enough rambling. One season like this one is bad. How to deal with that? Come back harder and stronger and show everyone (including themselves) that last year was a fluke, an aberration, not a true reflection of how talented they are and how much HEART they have!

Im gonna guess that it is the santa clara guy. I thought i remember someone posting that he visited G-town a week or two ago. If he was willing to fly to DC from the west coast, and JT3 was willing to bring him in w/o seeing him play live, I would guess that there is mutual interest. We could use the shooting if it is him
