I have no idea if this kid is legit considering he played this season at Liberty, but if he has half the talent of his big bro, maybe III should consider pursuing him. After all, we certainly could use shooters to help us get back to Princeton basics. Any thoughts? sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4012928

top freshman scorer in the country (or at least was for a good portion of the season)...sign him up, III.

We could definitely use a scorer and pure shooter on this team. Watching the first two rounds of the tournament made me realize how important it is to have someone who can come off a screen and hit a three or just be a threat for hitting a three. We were sorely missing this for our offense this year and are a lot easier to defend without Jon. I would love to get someone like Curry. He put up 26 against UVA, who may not be good, but at least they are outside of his weaker conference. Also, playing in a weak conference doesn't mean his brother lacks any skill. I would be worth it for III to go after this kid (are you allowed to recruit transfers?) to at least see if there would be any interest.

never seen him play but if the kid can shoot half as well as his bro then sign him up JTIII....can you imagine curry if he didn't have to be a one man show? or for that matter how much more open the other guys on the team would be? yikes

If his defense is underrated like his brother's is then absolutely, but if its low major quality then pass. I'd rather develop the shots of the guys we already have than add a good shooter but a defensive liability.
I'd rather not spend another season watching the freaking Paris Horne's of the world torch us.

can you imagine curry if he didn't have to be a one man show? or for that matter how much more open the other guys on the team would be? yikes I mean...that was what happened in 2008 basically. That dude Jason Richards averaged like 8 assists a game, was one of the NCAA leaders if not THE leader in APG in 07-08. It wasn't emphasized enough IMO how much better Richards made Curry. For one thing, you COULD run an offense around Stephen Curry--screens, backdoors, the whole nine yards--because he had a quality facilitator to get him the ball. Once Curry was forced to be the primary ball handler, he had to work that much harder for open looks...and expend more energy on the floor. Regarding his brother, my completely uninformed guess is also that he'll end up at an ACC school.

what I don't understand is how the heck do the high majors not even take a CHANCE on this kid after what his brother did....I mean Seth's jumpshot couldn't have come out of nowhere....

We need another guard, why not a shooter? We have at LEAST 3 scholies left for this year before the transfer season starts.

Let's not get crazy kids. He basically played on a high school team this year and still was only a 35% shooter from 3. Plus, he'd have his a@s handed to him in the Big East. That's why none of the BE schools recruited him.

And his brother Stephen was a flop and despite being the star of a mid-major team, Stephen accomplished nothing in his career. He couldn't even knock off the number 2 seed in the round of 32 in the 2008 NCAA Tournament. If the kid doesn't have 5 stars in front of his name, Georgetown shouldn't take a look.

Well, his FG% does not exactly make him out to be a great shooter, but I am assuming he overcompensated on a bad team.
Anyway, he is going ACC, but would be nice to have.

LOTS of schools have been calling- like over 20. ACC schools will get strong consideration. schools from all the major conferences have made inquiries. we'll see where this goes but don't know/think GTOWN will get involved.

We'll see who he sits with at the NIT next week. Sources have him talking to PSU.
