Anthony Grant, we have Charlottesville on line one. And I believe there may an opening for Mr. Leitao to return to his previous employer, although perhaps he will not be top of their list.

ESPN is saying he "resigned." I know people in Hoo-ville were unhappy but I didn't think he was going to lose his job. Maybe smaller schools became attractive after he saw what his predecessor is doing at American. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3986162

To borrow from JT3's 2007 analogy -- if UNC is our cousin, then the old order schools of the Big East are our brothers, and BC is the black sheep, the C-USA defectors are the nouveau riche arrivistes, so what of UVA?
UVA is the sister who got it all -- the looks (campus), the tradition (Mr. Jefferson's university and all that) and the nice house with the very Virginian name (John Paul Jones Center) with a view of the nice lawn (Scott Stadium).
She has so much, and because of that, has so little. As the gateway to the South and the passage to the East, UVA's sports programs need to be good to meet the particular demands of history -- for both her Southern and Eastern roots demand athletic achievement.
Such is life in the new ACC, for the new pressures of winning and winning big now prevail upon one of its older members.
