also says hes a 6'3" guard with no handles and can't shoot....maybe we can put him and throw alley oop backdoors all day. There's a reason he hasn't been recruited by ANYONE lol

Sounds great. Lock him up. Then he can transfer to Indiana.

Was the "(apparently) can rebound" too subtle?

If the kid's that bright, maybe he can get an academic scholarship to an Ivy.

I don't see how any team wouldn't want a freakish athlete as at least a bench player. He could also be very valuable in practices on the second team. Seriously, this kid or Omar? I can't see why nobody is interested. Then again, I've never seen him play. Maybe he's the most uncoordinated guy in the world, who just happens to jump through the roof.

I mean when an article "nicely" says that he has no shot and no handles.. that is why noone wants him....again I have not seen him play either, but if the kid can only jump would you recruit him to a team? what other value does he bring? I wish him the best and hope he reaches his goal of playing in college

I guess my only point is that there are several players on every college team (when you actually use all scholarships) that never step foot on the floor, unless its a 30 point blow-out in a pre-conference schedule game. If you could choose between that guy being an average college basketball athlete, or a freak of nature athletically, why wouldn't you pick the freakish athlete?

This is like the 49ers putting Renaldo Nehemiah in football pads and lining him up at wide receiver.

There are 341(ish) DI teams and way more DII or DIII teams. maybe the article was exaggerating and there has been interest, just not from any "name" schools. Like, he's not good enough to get looks from the SWAC? i find that hard to believe But the article does mention how he hasnt done much interms of AAU stuff, so maybe its just all about exposure? If he is basically only a DC PS legend maybe there are too few coaches who know who he is. The good thing is that he seems to just want to go to college and isnt too worried about playing bball.

SWAC schools probably don't know much about him.
