Memphis has a scholarship squeeze. Unless they have a guys leave early or have a couple transfers, there isn't room for Latavious and that's not even taking into consideration John Wall.

Cal will have to do some serious shuffling to fit LW in. According to CBS sports, now already have three HS seniors and 2 JUCOs coming in. Assuming Wall is still on their list, LW would be incoming #7. That seems pretty doubtful to me.

They have 16 players right now counting Cousins. Evans and Taggert are probably gone so that's 14. Wall has a scholarship for sure if he wants and he's ahead of Latavious now that Memphis has Cousins. I doubt that any of the to be seniors Mack, Kemp and Niles transfer. Sallie won't transfer since he just transferred in. No way anything happens to CJ Henry since he's a package deal with his brother. You got 5 commits coming in not counting Wall. Wesley Witherspoon ain't transferring nor would Calipari want him to transfer. Angel Garcia is ineligible but Memphis is trying to get him eligible for next year. That leaves Jeff Robinson and Matt Simpkins and possibly Angel is he's still ineligible. All three would not have to return if Memphis took Wall and Williams.

he'll make room for wall. williams is another question. memphis was not showing Williams the same kind of love as others they have pursuing. IMO cousins' commitment take LV out of the mix for them--but i will ask around. so you're probably right that only room will be made for Wall. but i have also heard of transfers happening at Memphis.
the key is getting LV qualified. if he does then i believe we are in driver's seat.

Cousins (5 Star) and Will Coleman (6/9, 230 Lb 4 Star) are both PFs who have committed to Memphis.
Darnell Dodson, 6'7, 215, is a 4 Star SF who also committed. Plus the guys who are there already.
I just wish we had been playing a little better recently so we would appear more attractive to Latavious.
But hey, GO JT3! Bring him in! And keep all our current guys!

LATAVIOUS was walking around village A with his booster and friend yesterday during the lacrosse game
i was playing pong with some friends on the rooftops and they asked to check out our apartment
i didn't really know much about him, he looked a little lanky, about 6'7"ish??

I hope so graeagle because we could sure use Latavious. Basketball wise he seems like a perfect fit.

i agree sleepy. he does seem like perfect fit and hope all goes well. i think our biggest hurdle at this point is the academics. JT3 has basically been following him around the past 2 weeks-- he is turning it up.
i think Memphis is about Wall and that's it.

MEMPHIS WOULD MAKE ROOM:
Robert Dozier-Sr. Antonio Anderson- Sr. Chance McGrady- Sr. Jeff Robinson- Transfer Shawn Taggert- Maybe Go Pro Tyreke Evans- Maybe going Pro Angel Gracia- Not sure his situation.. he didn't qualify and seems like he will be back next year Matt Simpkins- Was suspended but not sure if he is coming back
So that's 8 possible scholarships

I don't think the older Henry is on scholarship. I believe as part of his Yankees contract they are paying his way through school. Someone correct that if I'm wrong.

well, i asked and Memphis CAN make room:
1 Cousins 2 Coleman 3 Niles 4 Garcia 5 Mack 6 Sallie 7 Dodson 8 X Henry 9 Witherspoon 10 Dennis 11 Kemp
CJ Henry (Yankees pay his tuition and is not on scholarship).
Taggart is a 4th yr junior, is about to graduate and is gone next year. He is not coming back.
Simpkins is another player who is currently on the roster but will not be back. The only reason he is still on the team is so that he leaves on good terms (transfer).
So they have two spots...one for Wall and one for another...Williams, Bledsoe, Casey Mitchell and an Elliott Williams transfer are all possibilities for them.

Maybe they can make room, but are there any minutes left if he goes there?
You look at the Hoya forwards, and a kid like Latavious has to see a great opportunity to get a LOT of minutes.

Word is that Demarcus Cousins committed to Memphis on his visit. Cousins/Latavious kind of play same position. That would be big for them (and for us!)
