Hoya men beat #3 Maryland 13-10. They were down 1 at half then just dominated the 2nd half. Great effort. Hoya women won too. They destroyed George Washington by some obscene score.

Good to see that there were some good Hoya results today too.

Very nice wins, particularly the men with a big victory at #3 Maryland. The score of the women's game was 17-2.
It's funny, the big GU-UMD lax game was overshadowed by big home basketball games for both schools, as we were taking on Marquette and the Twerps went on to upset UNC in OT.

Hopefully Lax keeps winning so i have something to distract me from the the end of a bad Bball season. So we got some good news for the basketball season this afternoon. Wanna hear the bad news? guhoyas.cstv.com/sports/m-lacros/recaps/022809aaa.htmlYeah. THAT happened. Really, really, reeeeeeeeeeeeeally bad loss. Dunno if on the level of losing to PSU to end last season, but only b/c that one almost certainly cost us an NCAA bid and this is Week 2 of our season. But yikes. That ain't good.

It is only Week 2 so they have time to make it up. They have to play Cuse and Duke and some other good team to make up for the loss. but this was bad

Trap game. St John's sandwiched between two huge games, Maryland and Syracuse. Gotta get this one back by taking out the Orange.

Wins against the big players like Maryland and Cuse are great, but as we learned last year we won't get any slack from the selection committee unless we get the ECAC AQ. Can't afford another conference loss.
But anyways as always much is forgiven when you beat Cuse
