Replay of the '85 game at the dome at 6PM on ESPN Classic. THAT is enough to get me fired up - IF my son is still sleeping peacefully after Day Care

Walked by the VC at 9 this AM and there were already students lined up. Gotta love that on Wednesday morning in sub-freezing temps. Hoya Saxa indeed WHOA, really? Is that what it takes to get front row this year? Wow, kudos to them. God love the Hoya Faithful. Please. In my day you got there the night before the game regardless of whether it was ice cold or only a moderate temperature.

Hoya Blue was inviting students to "squeeze the orange" (i.e. giving away free orange juice) today in Red Square. not exactly throwing oranges at cardboard cut-outs, but creative (and refreshing) nonetheless. I have quite a lot of orange juice today - is there a point at which vitamin c is harmful to your body?

God bless the students!! We all love ya'!!
Hey, by the way, anyone know why my ticket says 7 p.m. start and the TV schedule says 7:30?
I'll be there well in advance, so I don't really care, but it IS a 7:30 start, right, not 7?

Love the students' passion more, but I do love my assigned seat.

I have quite a lot of orange juice today - is there a point at which vitamin c is harmful to your body? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_C"As discussed previously, vitamin C exhibits remarkably low toxicity. The LD(50) (the dose that will kill 50% of a population) in rats is generally accepted to be 11.9 grams per kilogram of body weight when taken orally. The LD(50) in humans remains unknown, owing to medical ethics that preclude experiments which would put patients at risk of harm. However, as with all substances tested in this way, the LD(50) is taken as a guide to its toxicity in humans and no data to contradict this has been found." For all intents and purposes, no. Destroying as many oranges as possible has a variety of health benefits and no risks. Listening to "Graduation (Friends Forever)" three straight times, however, carries with it instant and painful death.

I couldn't even drink OJ this week - had the wife throw everything orange in the house out. Almost vomited just looking at construction sights on the way to school, but then I remembered that the guys behind the orange cones wearing the orange jumpsuits are all SUcks grads. Dear Hoyas:
Admittedly, I'm too old to be here [T.O'K. era. Hell, I watched Bobby Knight of West Point verbally abuse his guard, now Coach K. at McD. ].
Admin is right about smack. It's common; not what us oldsters enjoy, so please reel it in.
Take your cues from Coach and team. They are gents.
Really funny stuff is great, and the cheer should have the bang-bang in it.
Your job is not to humiliate people. It's to be joyous for your team.
End of sermon.

Talking "smack" is one thing. The point is not to humiliate Syracuse or, in particular, certain players who allegedly have exhibited poor behavior recently, but to call them out and to let them know that we don't respect their nonesense. We don't need to curse or anything, but we can yell very loud and give them a hard time. With all due respect, there is nothing wrong with that.

The crazier and funnier the better. Also...the alums need to be into this game all game. It is bad enough that some sell their seats (souls) to cuse fans.
I HATE 'CUSE... I HATE 'CUSE

I've got a backpack with 3 massive textbooks, and I'm getting amped up to run 4 blocks. If I get one word from the Verizon bag-checker, I might be throwing punches and running for it. Here we go!

The non-student crowd keeps improving in baby steps, but fantastic showing by the students! When I saw all those upper deck sections filled with gray, I mean, wow!
Now, about the jerks who sell tickets to opposing fans in 113: I hate you!!!

I showed up about 40 minutes before gametime, and the only student seats left were about 5 rows from the top of the 400 level. Apparently you had to show up before the gates opened to get into the lower bowl. Absolutely awesome.
