At halftime I said to my son, "The lead needs to be 15". How wrong I was. What poise, what presence- we looked like a veteran team.

A near perfect game all around, seriously. I kept waiting for UConn to make their run and blow our doors off, but the kids were allright.

No more lurking for me after that performance. We are simply one of the most unique combinations of grit and discipline in the country. You can be excellent with either and you can be a champion with both. I promise to no longer be stunned by anything this team does anymore. There is only one dangerous thing about playing on the road, on nation tv, against a top #5 opponent: too many NBA scouts watching Greg dominate.

That was some cold, ruthless execution. Beautiful.

I never thought the Hoyas were that good. I still don't think they're top 10 simply because of their lack of depth. But after seeing the UCONN/Gonzaga game, I knew that we could beat the Huskies.
Julian Vaughan makes me nervous and frustrated, but I'm hoping he can pull it together by the time the BET rolls around.
Greg Monroe...can't really say anything.
I'd like to see Summers work on that mid-range 'J' and take some of those smaller guys down in the post. But I've been pleased with him this season.
I could ramble on, but I won't.
GREAT JOB, FELLAS!!!

How about that first half steal by Monroe off Price. Took it end to end and scored!

Bilas said it: Georgetown was the more physical, aggressive team for most of the game. Summers was inspired. Wright, Sapp, Freeman, and Monroe - just relentless. Never got rattled.

I know a lot of the college basketball world is surprised, but forgotten in all this talk was that even the remnants of the squad have more BE championships than UConn does. And, also, Georgetown is not going to be chased, it is the Hoyas who will chase. I believe in this roster, this coach, and this talent.

Not what expected but amazing game . Right now I cannot find a fault. ( well our bench). But coaching , energy, motion Odense. Defense great. You know, Vaughan played some serious minutes on D in the second half, held his own, and allowed Monroe to stay in the game and be really effective on the offensive end.

Stat of the game: 18-19 FT in the second half. Georgetown never let UConn open the door wide enough to make the run.
