I watched almost the entire game. How Jeff Green has grown!! He is getting better and better all the time. He had 9 rebounds and 4 assists as well. According the the announcers, new coach Scotty Brooks loves him. If you guys get a chance, watch him play. He is going to be an NBA all star in a few years. BTW, He entered the game with a 3 point shot percentage of 46%. Last year is t was 28%.

To play devil's advocate, I don't know if he'll ever be an allstar. That being said, I think he's going to be a very very good player and one people respect throughout the league. I just feel like he can get allstar numbers on a crappy team, but get no attention. But when OKC either develops, or Jeff gets to a team with some talent around him, his numbers will drop but his overall impact on the game will increase. Someone with a better memory can answer this: do you become an allstar as a stat stuffer? I see Jeff being like a 16-18 ppg, 6-7 rpg, 4-5 apg with very good defense kind of guy. The kind of guy you can win a championship with, but maybe not one who will get into an allstar game.

Jeff has improved leaps and bounds in a year. He has developped in a Rashad Lewis type player who plays great one on one defense. Really think he is going to put it all together between this year and next and become a borderline all star

I see he's moved into the starting lineup so the new coach must like him. I think with Westbrook, Durant and Green they'll have a solid team in a couple years. They desperately need a good center though.

1. I never had seen Jeff as an NBA all-star until recently. I see him as a Scotty Pippin type of player. You just cannot believe how much better he is.
2. Westbrook had a great game. Almost all of his points came on slashing drives to the basket. It is easier to do that against Miami, since they have no center. The once he develops an outside shot, he is going to be terrific.
3. Speaking of Centers, Oklahoma City needs one. Thabeet would be perfect because right now, they have no inside defensive presence.

Jeff needs to make the 15 foot jump shot off of movement to become an elite level player. He has become very effective from 3 as a catch and shoot scorer, but when he is curling off a screen or is forced to move sideways when shooting, he is probably shooting under 15 %.

Which is why the Thunder, along with Portland will be the future of the Western conference in a few years. They probably won't make the playoffs for the next two years, but imagine a team in 2-3 years starting Westbrook, Durant, Green and perhaps two other lottery picks? Nasty. I just hope their GM is as smart as Portland's Presti (?) and not as stupid as Paxson for the Bulls, I still can't beleive he traded LaMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas and then drafted Joakhim Noah a year later! Wow.

I think you're forgetting a little team called the Lakers. As awesome as they are already, they are still quite young and still developing. Derek Fisher is 34 and Kobe is 30 and no other player is in their 30s. Gasol and Odom are 27. Farmar is 22. Ariza and Vujacic are 24. And the future best center in the league not named Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum is only 21. The Lakers are not going anywhere for a while. They have a chance at a real dynasty again (if they can just beat the damn Celtics...argh). That said, Portland will certainly be one of the top 3 teams in the West very quick. I think OKC, if they get a center this draft, will be competing with New Orleans and Utah (if they keep Boozer) for the next tier in the West in a couple years. Not sure if they should get Griffin or Thabeet. Griffin seems to be more of a PF and would appear to take away some of what has made Jeff so effective recently, but I think Griffin is the best future pro in this draft. Thabeet, on the other hand, would be a great defensive complement for a team that shirks defensive duties right now, but he has no offensive game (can he develop one still?). Actually, thinking about it, OKC could be a real strong defensive team in a couple years if they had Thabeet, Jeff, and Westbrook (who was a lock down defender at UCLA). Plus Durant probably isn't a defensive liability at SF like he was at SG. The key in this league, though, is still having someone that can guard a 2-guard, cuz that is still the premiere offensive position in the game. OKC seems to have a much brighter future than I expected. Developing a bench will be key.

Wow. The GM of the Oklahoma Thunder is Sam Presti. So I'm guessing he's as smart as Portland's Presti. Kevin Pritchard is the GM of Portland.
