Why is one team playing basketball while the other engages in a 3-point contest?

Greg Monroe shoutout in the ND-UNC game. Outta nowhere. Total non-sequitur. Wish they'd shut up about Greg. Never let em see you coming.

I love that Bilas just asked if ND can "make some stops." Wouldn't that require defense? Doesn't he know that they don't teach that at ND?

If your grandfather hadn't worn Old Spice, you wouldn't be here.

Let's get the OSC going.... by the by... isn't Old Spice Classic redundant? Does anyone under the age of 60 use Old Spice anything? It has to be classic.... Big fan of the deoderant...and I'm well under 60.

just... have you tried other deoderants or you just grew up using that? I'm gonna assume the latter. Were you attracted by the red packaging? The marketing teachers will be so pleased with you. Red and yellow are the biggest sellers right?

This is a horrific showing. Is this good for us or bad? How important is it to be underrated?

Switchced to old spice, but full disclosure I use the non-orginal scents. Your mom seems to like it though.

Raftery just called Ty Lawson "quicker with the ball" than AI. That dude is on meth.

They just called Lawson faster than Iverson. I thought this whole speed issue was resolved after watching him last year against Kansas. Yes he is really fast with the ball, but their guards made him look like he was running in mud. Yes, he is fast in the open court, but he probably isn't even the fastest player in ACC, Rice might be a little faster. Although I guess I can understand people over estimating his speed after watching him against Paulus the last two years.

Just Cos... how intermediate school of you. Bang my 60 year old mother like i care. She could probably use a good spin though I doubt you'd be able to provide her one. If you care to try, enjoy. Way to set the bar high.

NOBODY has been faster then AI with the ball in college ball and maybe Lawson is close to CURRENT version of AI--but I'd take Derrick Rose or Darren Collison against him in a sprint with ball in their hands, although I'll give Lawson credit for losing the gut he had the past 2 years. He's in better condition.

I missed all the in-game conversation, but my son was clicking around between both the Maui and NIT games. I don't like either team ... actually, I really dislike both teams, but as suggested in the games of interest thread, once the game was going on, I was pulling for the Irish. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it for sure, but I would rather have seen a BE team claim the title -- especially over the Edward Head Williams' led tarheels. That being said, I have to give some props to the "annointed one" -- no, not Obama -- but rather Tyler Hansbrough. I still can't stand him, but I will reluctantly give him the obligatory, quiet (yet apathetic) applause that he earned. With a comment that will likely earn me even more "constructive criticism" from some, I would also tip my hat to the pot-smoking McElerney (or however you spell it ...). And not just because of the selectively chosen adjective, but because, at least on this night, he had game. (anyone notice that I said not just?) ... on a related note, does anyone know if Maui is in the county that voted in the measure to "de-emphasize" the "empasis" on marijuana possession? ....
In all seriousness, UNC is going to be very tough to beat this year. Though not at the FSU, Syracuse or Duke level, I still hate their guts, but I have a very strong suspicion that come March, one thing will be very clear, and that is that there will only be two sides to choose:
1. Tarheel fans 2. Everyone else

Rice is nowhere near faster than Ty Lawson. In fact I wouldn't even consider Rice fast at all from end to end. He's niche is his quickness. The only people who match up to Lawson in the speed department in college are Collison and the kid from St. Mary's...and maybe Smith from Wake Forest.
