does anyone think we look flat? ? jeez...someone other than greg needs to do something. a good place to start is by blocking out. if we don't step it up...we are going to get destroyed tmrw.

Jay Williams at the half: "Who is Dajuan Summers?"
I'd also like to know....

greg and freeman are the only two playing well so far. dajuan needs to sit on the bench the entire second half if he shoots one more 3 with 15 seconds left on the shot clock. ZONE SHOULD NOT BE THIS HARD TO BREAK. our last play of the half - jessie's 3 from the corner - better be an example of what we start to do in the second half or the shockers might be adding some meaning to their team name today.

poor shot percentage; no flow to the offense

Could III teach our guys to break a basic two person press without throwing it 40 feet down the court?

Really flat. If they're not careful, they'll be playing Siena tomorrow.

We will get alot more transition buckets this year. offense from defense. Our halfcourt execution will take a while to find itself. Lots of new guys learning a system. We definitely need to rebound better. guards and dajuan are much too indecisive.

Don't think the team looks flat at all--think they look like a young team who is small on frontline. Backcourt has been sloppy with ball a bit--but they've also shown some good flashes of scoring off defensive stops/getting some easy hoops.
Monroe is the best player on this team--BY FAR---not just for the results-but how he sees/plays the game. Intelligent player and fun to watch. He plays at a pace/thinks the game as I'd like to see Summers--who looks like he's trying to do everything too fast--just relax and play the game.
Julian Vaughn looks like a guy who is also in a hurry-take time and just play. He's had 2 plays he should've scored easy--but rushed it.
Henry and Jason look like they've got some jitters.
Sapp did what he does--and I really think we'll see the offense look much better in 2nd Half.
Scary thing about season-how small/easy it is to pound this team on glass--and fact Greg is only big on team who plays big--or can play big. If he's in foul trouble, this team is in trouble.
DaJuan needs to focus on each play and remember-you only get 2/3 pts per basket--he looks like he's trying to do way too much--just calm down and play ball. Rest takes care of itself.
Like the hustle/defense and figured we'd see something like this and will until everyone gets more games under the belt. Always different when young team plays away from home court. Still expect a nice offensive half coming up and more relaxed team.

Ick. How many offensive boards did we give up? Monroe and Freeman were our only good players, really - maybe Jessie for his defense. DaJuan looks terrible, Chris is making turnovers, we just look very out of sync. And we might as well be playing in their gym, judging by the ratio of their fans to ours.

Monroe and Freeman are playing well. So is Vaughn, actually. Mixing it up pretty well.
This has been an awful half for Chris Wright. Several turnovers of his own plus a few awful passes that will be charged to other players.
Sapp needs a take a little more control on the perimeter when the team is struggling.

We must have very few FGs out of the half-court offense. We've done better on the break, or at least we did early.

Missed some pretty open shots in the first half; more will usually fall, second half will be better. Wichita's may start to run into foul trouble - Monroe had what, 8 FTs? Wright needs to, and will, settle some, a couple of ill advised passes and lost dribbles in the first half. Tennessee impressed in the first game, they're big.
