Among the things I am thankful for this year (these are in no particular order, except #1):
1. Friends and family
2. JTIII and the Hoyas
3. Hoyatalk: God bless DFW. I don't think that can be said enough.
4. The United States Marines
5. Despite all of our bickering, that we have safe, peaceful and fair elections in the US. Transitions of power -- historically and even today in many places -- are traditionally accomplished, in the majority, not at all the way we do them.
6. Collectively, South Park, Adult Swim, Matt Groening, Seth Green and everyone responsible for the animated shows that keep me from growing up to be a mature adult.
7. Without getting too specific, because it would take too long.....Music. It really is my hot, hot sex.
8. Gen. David Petraeus. (I am not trying to start controversy. If you don't agree, that's fine, you can make your own list.)
9. Beer. Good beer, bad beer, lite beer, dark beer, micro beer. It doesn't really matter.
10. That somewhere along the way, God thought it would be a good idea to invent beautiful girls, hockey, March Madness and the XBox (just to name a few).
A partial list, but one that keeps a smile on my face, at least some of the time.
