Sydney Johnson & Princeton got two this past week, scoring commitments from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral forward Gus Gabel '09, (6'7, 185 F.4.06 GPA) and Jimmy Sherburne '09 (6'2, 175) of Whitefish Bay (Wis.). Good luck Syndey! We want to see you return the Tigers to the top of the League -- as they were when you were the star there.

This great not only for Sydney, but also gtown. If gtown assistants can move onto other programs and develop good teams then Gtown can play them and increase SOS. I know that JTIII will never play Princeton voluntarily, gtown is playing Savannah St. coached by a former player and although they arent a great team i can imagine it makes scheduling easier if both coaches are on good terms and have a personal relationship that (presumably) goes beyond professional. and once those easier to schedule teams are also top of their conference and NCAA teams then there can be a nice bump in the SOS.

Having assistants who go on to successful head coaching jobs will also make our program more attractive to high-quality assistants. It will also create a nice coaching tree that we can pick assistants from. There are lots of benefits to Georgetown of having guys like Sydney be successful. Besides, he's a good guy, and it's always nice to see good guys win.
