There's also this: www.campaigngame.us/index.phpNotice how the "Mudslinger" looks just like James Carville, and the Operative looks just like Karl Rove.

I love how it's all MortalKombat style. Biden foot-from-mouth super attack is pretty sweet.

Even Tina Fey can't knock her for that, goshdarnit.

The key (for Obama at least) is to uppercut at every available opportunity. When you can, use his immobilizing special attack and then power slash and uppercut in succession. Also, you should be able to kick then uppercut someone who is getting up about half the time.

KungFuElection strategy, thy name is uppercut.

Can she ban me too? ......Please? www.gigwise.com/article.php?id=46622&image=1;D I posted this here in the "Just for Fun" thread deliberately, because I want to stress that I don't and no one should take this seriously at all. I just thought it was funny. (if you have anything of equal ridiculousness from the other side, I'll be happy to read it) Madge is silly and stupid; and that's true no matter what her politics are. (Besides, isn't what she's suggesting here illegal anyway?)

That reminds me of this article: online.wsj.com/article/SB122290103509796055.html"Springsteen is like most liberal musicians," says Ed Rollins, campaign manager for Reagan-Bush '84. "They don't like Republicans and don't want us using their music." He recalls: "We never cared. . . . We paid the fees and used whatever we wanted." If you want to sell tickets/movies/songs, you can't get indignant when people actually want to buy them.

If you want to sell tickets/movies/songs, you can't get indignant when people actually want to buy them. On the Springsteen statement, yes you can get indignant. If a campaign would like to use a song they must purchase the rights from the record company to play the song. They must also get permission from the musician/artist/whatever to use the song. Right or wrong, that is the rule. The singer can stop a campaign from using their music at campaign rallies so as to avoid anybody thinking they endorse the musician because of the presence of the song at the rally.

The singer can stop a campaign from using their music at campaign rallies so as to avoid anybody thinking they endorse the musician because of the presence of the song at the rally. Wrong, that's not the rule as far as I understand it. You can get a license from ASCAP to use a song at a rally or event and you don't need to get the artist's permission. There's a separate license you can get to use a song in an advertisement called a sync license. I don't think you need the artist's permission for that either. Now, an artist can always work out a contract with their publisher that may give them a right of refusal over whether the publisher can grant some types of licenses; but that's on a case-by-case basis.

Is there a difference between use at a rally or event and use in an ad? Jackson Browne is currently suing the Republican Party for $1M for the use of "Running on Empty" in an ad by the Ohio Republican Party.

OK it's a little creepy how many people there have made up quotes having to do with having sex with children. Sex in general is one thing, but that's kinda' sick. There are some wack-jobs out there.
Overall though, very hi-larious. Nice find. I enjoyed the one that had about a million "umms" and "errs" followed by "I can't stand John McCain." ;D
(but too slow; I can't make up my own!!)
